Barnett's lack of physical tools is a little concerning, I know he put up huge numbers at Tennessee but there's definitely a correlation between successful edge rushers and high sparq scores. He may be an exception but that's still a troublesome flag imo
Love Humphrey, he's still raw but the tools and want-to are there for him to become a legit #1 corner. Probably the best tackler and force player out of all the top tier CBs, which we know is a desired trait for Rod at CB. RKG, check. Bloodlines, check. Power 5 conference, check. Great pick at 28 for me.
Conley is the consolation prize to Humphrey. He's a long, rangy CB with excellent ball skills and the desired agility to stay in the hip of receivers man to man. The one con with him is he's a poor tackler, almost to the point where teams exploited this by targeting him with bubble screens. Weak getting off blocks. But overall, one of the top cover corners in this draft with enough size to matchup against bigger receivers.
Lastly, I'm a fan of Peppers. I know this is high praise but he could have a Darren Woodson type impact for this defense in terms of running the slot, helping in the box against the run, and having enough range and athleticism to run single high. I think he's carrying some unnecessary weight, probably resulting from his time at LB this year, and should be playing closer to 205lbs. His explosion and closing speed is rare for the position, and he carries an alpha dog mentality.
