dallas simply got outplayed and was beaten by the better team on that day. stop blaming the refs or bad play. gb created alot of the bad play. good game to watch.

When I step outside the box, I can agree with that. Good to see ya Latin.

The Cowboys should have been mentally prepared and amped up for this game because GB had nothing to lose but their season. Their backs were against the wall and desperate times call for desperate measures.

The Cowboys should have known better. Sure the refs made some piss poor calls, but you should never let the refs dictate the outcome of a game. We didn't execute, plain and simple.

Time to re-focus and get ready for the Skins. The Skins are coming off a big win of their own, and will have some confidence going into this week's game.

That wasn’t one thought and i don’t agree with any of it. The Dallas D Dominated, they were not outplayed. Green Bay is not the better team any day...they were the winning team that day. Refs made some bad calls...they did help influence the outcome. I saw about 20 uncalled holds in that game. Dallas created alot of bad play and shot themselves in the foot. Not a good game to watch. I was bored and frustrated the entire time. It was a waste of time to watch and i won’t watch again.

Dallas was not mentally prepared for the GB game and personally, it came as no suprise whatsoever to me.

So what you're saying is that there is no reason to come to an online forum and discuss the game. Nothing to talk about, just got beat, let's move along now.

I definitely agree with this. I think they were thrilled with their winning streak, saw how lousy GB looked vs an awful Tampa team the week before and did what we've come to expect from them the past few years. Mailed it in.

You are right.

I don't understand that at all. When you are rolling and coming in to play a supposedly weaker opponent, wouldn't you look to crush them rather than just try to get by with a win? I would think that you would try for a 56-0 obliteration over a team that is struggling instead of a 10-3 win. Usually when we try to do that we lose a game we SHOULD have won.

I just don't understand the mentality of this team sometimes. :bang2:

One of the first things Wade Phillips said in his Press Conference is that they hadn't lost a game in almost a month in a half.

There could be some truth in the belief that they struggle mentally when having success.

Personally, I don't think it had anything to do with being mentally unprepared as I think it is an excuse.

The Green Bay Packers' season was on the line, their Head Coach's job may have been on the line, they were at home and they are good football team.

Not a great statement by Phillips for many reasons, cant see too many coaches talking about their previous winning streak when they were just embarrassed by an underdog. Although a lot of the circumstances were different, this game had the feel at least offensively of the Philly game last year. Total ineptitude. I'm sure that we will snap out of it and beat some of the pathetic teams that we are facing over the next few weeks, but it's hard to shake the feeling that in a big contest, any number of solid defenses can step up and take our offense completely out of the game. The squad has an entirely different feel than the 2007 team did to me.

It came down to a handful of plays. Green Bay being the hungrier, more desperate team MADE the PLAYS. We didnt.

I guess the question in this game and the season finale, is why weren't we hungry? This was a national game against a historic rival within the conference with possible playoff implications especially if we are fighting for a wildcard spot? I don't think this was just a tough contest against a better than anticipated "cornered" team, that slightly outplayed us - we totally self destructed on offense, even before we lost our right tackle.

Sadly, this is true for ALL of Wade Phillips past teams....especially in the playoffs.

I agree. Dallas was beat at the line of scrimmage if you can't win the battle up front you will not win the war.

The same was true 2 years ago and we came up big against them. Of course that was at home and not in Green Bay. We looked flat and uninspired for most of this game and I don't understand why but I've seen it happen even against division rivals like the Commanders & Eagles so who knows.

All teams go through these times. The Cowboys under Landry were notorious for coming in flat against underdogs. The loss to the winless Bills in 1984 comes to mind but there are many more like that.

The other thing is that our opponents are ALWAYS fired up to play us. For many teams it is their SuperBowl to beat the Cowboys.

That is such a stupid cliche. Referees dictate the outcome of games every week of every season in the NFL. Anyone who says otherwise is either blind or doesn't watch football.

Not penalizing GB for trying to use a challenge they didn't have was the biggest gaffe of the day.

So the mere fact Ware was getting held with the rest of the Dline, a team got a free time out and no penalty to boot, an easy call was not made, *the fumble* Newman almost got blasted with the late hit, a bad call cant be reviewed, enough evidence to take down a mob boss and you dont want to start calling on these guys for not even making bad calls but not knowing simple RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At some point you have to put your foot down. I mean it was bad two years ago when Ware was getting nailed with the offsides only to have the tape reviewed and he wasnt offsides, the refs just didnt understand how fast he was.

This is a horrible aspect of the game that even the league doesnt know what to do with it because its not just one team screaming it, its multiple, and you just want to say "well, lets be good losers". Yes that is fine and all, but some point you have to say, "the little fire is going to grow and if you dont put it out now, you are going to lose your home".

I'm not pretending that this had the importance of an actual playoff game, but the offensive dysfunction felt like last year's de-facto playoff collapse which was only 10 games ago. I remember a lot of let-down games under Landry and Jimmy during championship seasons, but I don't think that we should have felt as if we were even in a position to coast, especially the offense.

Maybe it was something to just brush off, a bad day if you will, but it's hard to believe that a similar meltdown will not occur with any number of "hungrier" defenses that we face over the next 7 weeks.

Another thought is that maybe we or any of the teams that we have beaten really aren't that good. We've been sort of propped-up by back-to-back victories over 2008 playoff contenders, but in hindsight, both Philly and Atlanta seem closer to mediocrity than postseason players.

The Washington game does seem more exciting than I thought ...we got that going for us.:)

I do agree. We had some calls not go our way, we made mistakes, but Greenbay flat out played us.

Lost in a lot of this stuff is just how great Charles Woodson played. The dude came to give it his all on Sunday.

2 forced fumbles, a sack, and an INT. He was HUGE on Sunday for the Packers.
