Can't disagree with any of that. Only hiccup for this offense is injury/suspension.
Heck, they even found a way to use McGovern as a monster blocking back.

As Cooper's rib heals, Gallup and La'el return they'll be that much better.

McGovern at fullback is AWESOME. I want to see that as a staple.

Garrett is CLEARLY stuck in the past and refuses to bring his offense into the modern age.

I believe that when the Giants get rid of him it's going to be hard for him to ever get another OC job in the NFL.
He shouldn't have gotten this one, but I'm not gonna complain.

I watch them closely since I'm local. I'm seeing the same nightmares of what happened here over and over.

They can stay with it as long as they like!

Glad to see someone finally admit they were wrong about Kellen Moore. But as big of a fan as I am of him, I have doubts about him being a great head coach. I think being an OC is his forte.
Yeah, he is starting to hone his OC skills. HC may not be his thing. Not sure what the Eagles wanted when they interviewed him, other than just following protocols of interviewing several candidates. Does KM really want to be a HC?

I for one am very happy with KM, I also do not think he is ready for the HC. If the team keeps on this path we could lose both Coordinators...and DQ would be the one I would think could HC but lets see how this goes. Maybe we are selling MM short also.

I agree I don't think Moore is cut out to be a HC yet and won't be for a while. This is no knock on him.. Some coaches are better off being an OC or DC anyway... Look at Wade Phillips... Great DC but a lousy head coach...

On the negative side:
His trying new things inside the Red Zone philosophy has been figured out and become somewhat predictable to opposing defenses. He needs to chill on those backyard plays when down close or throw them out of the playbook altogether.

On the positive side:
If he can actually commit to a downhill running strategy complimented by play action chunk plays, he will continue to win my favor as well. There's nothing like totally demoralizing an opposing dee by running it down their throat and then hitting them over the top when they think they are gonna stop the run. Pick your poison. Balance.
Big fan of his Philly offensive game plan. Reminded me of 2016. My kinda ball. Hope it continues.

Redzone vs Tampa was poor but since then Dallas 2 out of 3 TD in redzone vs Chargers and 5 of 6 redzone TD vs Philly only missed redzone opportunity was the QB sneak of Dak from inside the 1 and at least in my view it should have been ruled a TD. That is 7 or 9 in the redzone, sorry I can live with that.

Yeah like I said at the beginning of the season.. I expect this team to be close to 75% in the red zone.. With the weapons we have and the QB we have I did not consider that to an unrealistic expectation.. and I still don't. Even with some of Moore's shenanigans down there it's clear that we should score a TD at least 7 out of every 10 trips down there. And maybe the shenanigans are helping keep DCs guessing in that area? I don't know.. I know I don't like it but it's hard to argue with the results over the last two weeks.

I wish there was a down vote button.

You know, McCarthy couldn't get another job. I wonder if Jerry hired him because he agreed to come in for one year until Kellen was ready, then be on his way. This would be good for McCarthy too, to show that he had learned and improved, and maybe get him a gig somewhere else after Dallas.

I would love to agree with you. But Jerry and son doesn't think long term. I doubt that had any inkling about what Moore would become.

I think it's clear he has a better understanding of today's game & game planning than the fraud Garrett ever did.

My only complaints with him are:
he doesn't always use the defenses aggressiveness against them as much as I'd like. in the first two games don't think he used upfield rush to create screens behind them. need to make them question how hard to go up field.
he does seem to get caught up with plays he likes without regard to the situation sometimes

no, I don't think he's ready to be HC and probably won't be for several years.
He better stop calling reverses at the 3-4 yard line wasting TD scoring opportunities. He better stop going empty backfield at his 1 yard line.

Being 25% after week 1 hard to over come but since week 1 we have seen more production in the redzone. I fully understand the importance of redzone and agree it should be about 75% of the time. What I notice however is the talking points of he is horrible in redzone will be parroted over and over, yet since game 1 Dallas is 7 of 9 in redzone, that is improvement. I do think Moore understands what he is doing and I do expect they will continue to work on redzone plays

The first year or so as our OC I was not sold on him at all. I thought that he was just another Jason Garrett. I honestly wanted to see him go when Garrett went because I believed that Garrett had rubbed off on him too much.

I was wrong.

I think these first 3 weeks has proven that he is making specific game plans based on the defenses we are facing, instead of of doing the same thing every single week.

When we played Tampa Bay it was clear that without Martin we were not going to be able to run the ball effectively. So, we used the short passing game to act as our run game pretty much and it worked. We moved the ball well and should have won the game.

Against the Chargers we were able to run the ball much more effectively and ride it to victory. Dak did what he had to do, but the run game was the most effective offense weapon for the majority of the game. It was a completely different approach from Week 1.

Against the Eagles it was a more balanced attack, but still leaned more towards to the run game. It worked and we blew the doors of them. They couldn't stop the run, and although I wish we would have ran more, we didn't really need to because we could do what we wanted for the most part.

I don't know if I'm 100% sold on him being the head coach., but I do think if Jerry don't work some magic that we will lose him to somebody. I would like to see Jerry somehow make Kellen like a Josh McDaniels type of coach. Where he is basically the head coach in waiting. I am 100% sold on him as the OC though. I have the upmost confidence that he'll put together new game plans each week that give us the best chance to move the ball against the specific defense we are facing, instead of doing the same things every week like we're used to in the past.

Same here. I considered him too pass happy entering this season, but he’s shown a commitment to the run game these past two weeks. I love the balanced attack and game plan to focus on opposing defensive weaknesses.

Something just occurred to me as I read this.. Remember after the Bucs game Jerry went on the air and said "We will run the ball more?" People often slam Jerry as a "meddling old fool who needs to keep his mouth shut." But you don't think Kellen Moore is smart enough to know that when the boss man says something like this you might wanna take heed? Some of those who hate Jerry might just have him to thank for these last two wins when the running game was heavily featured. Just sayin..

Moore is the new hot OC and will get job offers. I think its early for that but thats the pressurized NFL. Jerry will try to keep him and make some shinny offer to MM. We'll see I'll worry about that pain when it gets here

Moore is 33 yrs old and would become the youngest HC in the NFL.....Sean McVay is currently the youngest but he is also the outlier not the normal. Hate to see Moore go to a bad club just to get a HC position and fail miserably.... The only team I could see reaching out to him would be the Chicago Bears....they need a young upcoming HC with with an offensive mindset to help shape and mold Justin Fields.....Matt Nagy is a QB killer in Chicago

I consider Jerry’s comments inside information more than him making demands. Jerry knew that the Tampa game plan would be pass heavy, due to how good their run defense is.

He also knew that upcoming opponents weren’t as good against the run and therefore things would balance out.

I don’t think he insisted on anything.

I don't think he insisted on anything.. But he's the owner.. He doesn't have to.. I think he planted a seed is all. Pleasing the boss man is job #1 for these coaches.. Well maybe 1a.. #1 is winning games.. which generally takes care of 1a..

I think Moore has made this quite clear, if defense wants to come up and stop the run we will attack them in the air, it they want to sit back in 2 high safety they will run. I don't think there is any set number of run vs pass I think much of that will be determined by what the opponent is trying to do.

So long as it's Pollard, ..i'm down for the end arounds and jet sweeps.

So long as it's Lamb, that's when it tends to be flawed and go downhill. .
They want to convince themselves that he is an exceptional open field run skills, but he just doesn't have enough initial jet-burst quickness and lateral speed for those kind of plays,
.
Almost seems like Lamb is good at the types of runs you'd guess he'd be bad at, and bad at the types you'd guess he'd be good at.

OK. I’ll agree to disagree on this subject.
