Operative word being "college."

I think you are just trying to temper expectations for Gregory, and I understand that. But how many rookie pass rushers come right in to the NFL and look as good as Gregory has, no matter who he's been facing?

Not many at all.

Gregory is the real deal, 100% and Dallas will miss him for the next couple-three games.

He is going to be the best pass rusher on the team and it is going to happen very soon. And yes I mean over Greg Hardy too.

Gregory just has "it". He is a natural pass rusher, through-and-through. Some of what he does simply by instinct is what guys need to learn in the pros. Where a lot of guys get close to the QB, Gregory gets there. Rod Marinelli (who I have a ton of respect for) absolutely loves Gregory... and Marinelli doesn't throw out praise very often, particularly for rookies. He knows he stole one in Gregory. He's just a long, lean, athletic guy who has stuff you can't teach.

Plus, Randy works extremely hard and is very smart. Very. And like Marinelli says, he has natural heavy hands and his arms are extremely long. He is just naturally strong. Country strong.

Put the entire package together and you have a special edge rusher.

Of course, the Cowboys weren't sure until they got him in pads... but the second they put the pads on, they knew right away that Gregory was going to be something special at WDE. All NFL veterans say you can tell right away if a guy is going to be a player or not. Everyone knew immediately that they had something special.

All that is why the Dallas coaches viewed him as too valuable to risk in the last PS game.

Before the season started I stated that I didn't think Gregory would have much impact this years because he's a rookie and rookie defensive linemen generally struggle. I was wrong. When he was in the game against the Giants the defense was looking dominant in a way I hadn't seen since the 90's. Eli became acutely aware of his presence and they ended up putting a TE on him to double team him which took away from their offensive options. Couldn't believe what I was seeing and really started feeling that this defense could become something opposing QB's would be terrified to face. Not ashamed to admit I was wrong. Hoping he comes back sooner rather than later as he raises our defensive performance to a level not seen here in a long time.

Atleast you don't have to eat crow with Romo. You've been on his jock since day one.

Some People here started criticizing him as soon as the national media started. After he proved them all wrong some of them have come around and now know him for the elite QB that he is. Others don't have the character to admit when they are wrong. Still others try to diffuse it by saying they supported him all along.

its pretty easy to see he's an elite pass rusher, not many bend the corner like him. just need him to get healthier.

I guess realizing how good we have it and that we clearly have one of best quarterbacks in the National Football League means we're riding Romo's jock.

Lol nah we just know how to appreciate the fact that we have a truly great quarterback.

I won't argue with you on that...not at all. I'm pretty excited about what we have seen so far. But I'm taking more of a panoramic view as opposed to what he is able to do this year. You can certainly tell he has the physical build, skillsets, and intellect you want from a passrusher, but his ceiling is extremely high and I don't think he can even come close to touching that high this year.

I doubt it. I'm not expecting McFadden to have the same type of season Murray had, but Dallas doesn't need him too. They need to utilize all three backs and their respective skill sets. I'll open acknowledge Darren is not the same type of downhill back Murray is. Really none of the current backs are so Linehan is gonna have to utilize them differently than he used DeMarco.

This is a suspect Giants offensive line going under an overhaul, I wouldn't get too carried away after just one game....now with a high ankle sprain, he'll be very limited for the next month or two .....this defense isn't getting to the next level unless the interior defensive tackles gets more consistent push and pressure up the middle., then you'll see the defensive ends clean up on the sack totals

It's not just one game, he was beating all pro LTs in preseason
