I hope that they do get rid of Goodell and they hire a new commissioner that gives Brady a 1-year suspension, Belichick a 1-year suspension, Kraft a $25 million fine, a lost of the 1st round picks in 2016 and 2017 and a lost of $15 million a piece in cap room in 2016 and 2017.

That would nip all of this cheating and lying by the Patriots in the bud because a 4-game suspension for a significant advantage in helping you win a Super Bowl isn't enough. But with my way of fining, at least they would start to think twice because if they get caught and don't win a Super Bowl....it's really bad news for them.

Instead, Goodell covered up SpyGate and gave them a slap on the wrist and continues to give them slaps on the wrist (Terelle Pryor got 5-games for getting tattoos in college) and it does not make them worry about ever cheating again.

As opposed to hoping Brady, Kraft, and the Patriots get crushed for trying this crap?...

"They never asked Mr. Jastremski about it in his interview. Had they done so, they would have learned from either gentleman one of the ways they used the deflation/deflator term. Mr. Jastremski would sometimes work out and bulk up — he is a slender guy and his goal was to get to 200 pounds. Mr. McNally is a big fellow and had the opposite goal: to lose weight. 'Deflate' was a term they used to refer to losing weight. One can specifically see this use of the term in a Nov. 30, 2014 text from Mr. McNally to Mr. Jastremski: "deflate and give somebody that jacket." (p. 87)."

Sorry I am not a fan of Goodell myself but I think I side with Yakuza Rich on this one, and the more I read from the Patriots the more that gets reinforced. Both insult my intelligence, but the statement above makes me think the Patriots do more.

I guess the "deflator"'s line about going to ESPN in that conversation meant he was going to report to them how much weight he lost, right?

YR is right on the money here. Heck, we got a stinking cap penalty for, and I paraphrase here 'Following the rules of the cap while violating the spirit of the cap'.
Besides all the obvious (borne out by statistics) advantages the pats got by using deflated balls, they also got to look like 'geniuses' for their gameplans. If I KNOW that my QB will be able to grip and throw the ball in cold-weather games, and I KNOW the opposing coach won't be expecting it, then I look smart as hell when brady chucks it all over the field and the receivers have no problem catching/holding onto the rock.

IMO they have been doing this since 2007 and all records/ stats from then until now should have an asterix or better yet one of these  next to them.

Lil Bill needs more of a penalty than just a suspension.

YR...I suggest a million on top of that suspension.

It's like using a corked bat in the World Series or plaster under your tape in boxing. Cheating is cheating and should never be allowed.

If Rogah were here he would say, "ABSOLUTELY!"

I have advised @Rogah to walk away from these threads. He has done so. You and others, including myself, have gotten out shots in against him. That needs to Stop now. No more jabs at Rogah since he has walked away. No more.

I blame this on the Pats. They are the ones that made a big thing out of nothing.

LOL...

Do you realize that Goodell's father was a close relation to the Kennedy's, in fact akin to a second-in-command. And by Kennedy's I mean JFK and Robert Kennedy. Kraft is also a huge supporter and a major donor to them, and he has pictures like 40 plus years back with his good buddy Ted Kennedy on his desk.

Who do you think got involved when Spectre started breathing down the necks of Kraft and his organization, along with Goodell?

Exactly.... Slaps on the wrist. They sting for 2 minutes.
Then back to their bag of cheats.

"With the war in Iraq raging on, gasoline prices closing in on $4 a gallon and Americans losing their homes at record rates to foreclosure, the United States Senate should be focusing on the real problems that Americans are struggling with," Kennedy said Thursday.

"I'm looking forward to another great Patriots season where they can let their play on the field speak for itself."

Ted Kennedy's own words during Spygate, when Spectre was going to ask for a congressional hearing on the matter.

The OP has to be joking with this.

Why in the world would I want to see Kraft and Brady win and get away with yet another slap on the wrist for, yet again, the Patriots cheating to gain advantages in the game?

If anything I'd have loved to have seen the league put the hammer down on them with some serious suspensions and fines and loss of draft picks.

What Rich said above sounds about right.
