I hope someone in the media asks Garrett/Linehan about their playcalling tonight

Zeke interview makes me think my earlier comments might have been right...Zeke sat for celebration thus Dunbar and McFadden. Looked stupid with his earlier and post production

As, is this what happened? That's interesting if it did.

You have Prescott near 40 attempts...and I will guarantee you that if he continues to have a high completion percentage, Linehan will be increasingly reluctant to fully utilize the running game to full capability. I wouldn't mind if he moved on after this year...hoping it doesn't mean a completely new offensive system for a second year quarterback. Too much trickeration and cuteness...not enough smash-mouth...especially in the third quarter, where both sides of the ball lost complete control of the game.

Tonight the Cowboys won in spite of the play-calling and the coaching on the offensive side.

Are we sill the only team in the league with a 50/50 pass/run split?

No clue but he said coach was pissed for it and he doesn't need to do that anymore. Right after that McFadden had a full series and Dunbar involved. A guess in views

Good observation, I wouldn't be surprised at all if that's the reason Zeke was limited in carries for a few series after that.

Yeah, it might be. I'm a bit dubious because JG usually handles this sort of thing in meetings after the fact, but we'll probably find out this week if he was making a point. Not really the type of offense to make a point about, honestly. Though it was obviously premeditated and something that was bound to get a flag.

if they took their stupid pills tonight.

The play calling in the 2nd half was downright bizarre. Reverse to Whitehead, jet sweep to Whitehead, going a long stretch without giving it to Elliott, up 3 with 6 minutes to go and you run play action on first down, etc.

Irving salvaged what could have been an uncomfortable evening.
Needed to feed Zeke. It nearly cost us the game.

Oh your saying the 3rd and 2 reverse that starts 10 yards in the back field was a bad play call when they hadnt stopped us all night? (sarcasm off) We left so much on the table with untimely penalties, bad play calling and Dak holding the ball too long. We should of ran away with this game.

You are dead right BUT it was odd to me. Literally next series McFadden took every snap. Next series Dunbar used a ton with McFadden. I thought injury. Reporter after game mentioned it and Zeke laughs and says for good cause but coach peeved and shouldn't do that. Don't expect JG to put game on line but with Whitehead suspension week before maybe with playoffs clinched ?

That reverse to Whitehead would have went for a huge gain without the fumble. Good play call. Bad execution.

Except your putting the ball in Lucky "Bad Decision" Whitehead's hands.

Linehan overall was pretty good. He totally attacked Middle outward.. outside a few bizarre plays.. and went right back to Zeke every time Tampa made a run.

People saying players won without him are clearly smoking the crack.. he has Dak in shotgun in passing situations, with The threat of Zeke on PA and the OL gave Dak plenty of time to scan the field and gave him plenty of short crossing routes to work with..

These coaches have no friggin idea how to play a hot hand or take advantage of an elite player

With the truly elite guys, you let them do **** like that and laugh about it. Why? Because they win games.

Winning the game is a whole lot more enjoyable than teaching your star player a menial lesson about not celebrating

Cosign........I hope these coaches don't let "teaching lessons" end up costing us games.

I actually didn't have a problem with the play calls, these calls need to be executed for future reference. But I DID have a problem with all the untimely penalties. That crap just gets under my skin.

Yep, a win is a win but our play calling literally kept them in the game. O Line moved the pile forward on virtually every running play but for some reason that wasnt good enough. Just stupid.
Wrong. Penalties kept Tampa in the game. Lots of points left on the field. 32/36....... Really? Play calling?

Also the tipped ball that led to a touch down, I mean, we have got to either make that INT or knock the ball down.

they do this every week only this time it was McFadden over Morris. It's very prudent to minimize mileage on Zeke's tires.

All teams in the league employ some sort of running back rotation.
