Why? It should be obvious.

Last April 24th, Jones and Parcells had the gumption to call Philly (a divisional rival), and trade up from the 6th round to grab Canty with Philly's pick!

I would LOVE to see Canty become an Eagle Killer!!!

dude is really turning the corner, I said it in another post, he may turn out to be our best player from this draft. Like BP said, he's angular. I think he still looks a tiny bit tentative, probably from injury recovery, but he's making plays already at this stage in his career and probably still not 100%.
By the end of the year, he'll get the game figured out and he'll mentally be over his injuries.

i love Canty threads! it would be ironic if Canty makes the big plays to turn this game around for us. he's starting to show some of his potential, and trust me he has a ton of it. i'll be watching him in particular on the DL, and hope to see a couple sacks and pressures from him on Sunday...

The really impressive thing about Canty is that he missed preseason, but sure looks comfortable in this scheme. Then again the coaches were saying he is a natural for a 3-4 defensive lineman, and played 3-4 in college.

Last week he had the 2nd most tackles on the team.

Parcells should have waited another year before abandoning the 4-3. He finally has the depth and monsters he wants on the defensive line but he's already spent so much time training the players on the 3-4. Oh well.

glover is better than fergi regardless of alignment. spears, glover and canty on passing downs.

IMHO....we have talent....but we need to develope them and put them in position to succeed.....I think the developement part is taking place....we just need a little patience.....putting them in poisition to succeed both mentally and physically I think needs some work
