He is going to get better but QB's that try and win with their feet are going to lose their favor for the same reason why they always do:

People act like running QB's have never seen success in the league before. If you cannot develop your game into a pocket passer where the rules protect you, your career life expectancy is little better than a RB. Given pay scales and how the CBA handles them especially teams cannot invest in players like that.

Tap the brakes on Manziel. He has played one year, lets see what he does next season when teams are keying in on him. There are a lot of great college QB's that don't amount to anything at the pro level.

Personally, I don't see him as a great NFL prospect, yet anyways. As of now, he is not close to Luck as to being NFL ready, he may never be.

If he comes out next year, Cowboys will not get him. If he waits until his Jr year and Romo still has not got us to the playoffs, then it might be time to talk trade up to get him IMO.

I'd rather not bet the farm on him and he turns out to be nothing special.

I hate to say this, but after losing for so long what is one more year? My Cowboys have got me kind of numb to losing now-a-days.

Anyhow, I almost could put up with one more BAD season if it puts us in position to draft the most exciting player I have ever seen.

I watched this player two years in High School live and then enjoyed last year as he won the big trophy.

You may get your wish, if the Cowboys don't make the playoffs this year how long until Jerry goes in a different direction. IMO Jerry resign Tony because he really didn't have any other option, Johnny Football in the draft, gives him another option.
