The Ravens wanted to win this game, we wanted to survive.

I don't understand that either. We don't move Romo around enough either. Why not do more designed rollouts?

Exactly. He is more effective when he is on the move. I don't know. I sat here with three friends watching the game and I called the plays correctly about 80% of the time and they thought I rigged it somehow with the TIVO or something.

SO if I can do it from my couch, how hard is it for Ray Lewis to do it from three yards away?

This team plays with a skittishness about it whenever we trail by the smallest of deficits in games in which we are not scoring at will.

If we're trailing 34-32, we seem somewhat confident. But if we're trailing 9-7, it's as if we're chickens running around without our heads.

And by this I mean from the way the huddle is managed, how they get to the line and the overall playcalling. You can tell we don't know quite what to do in games we're not able to score 30-plus points. "Do we run? No, can't do that and score quickly. Well, shoot, we'll try it anyway. ... Ok, didn't work the first go around. We'll go back to passing all the time. Surely we'll get that 40-yard strike any moment and get the lead back."

Just odd.

Jason Garret doesn't know how to control the game clock and play for field position. Whereas Cam Cameron did a masterful job on both accounts. Cameron also showed us what its like to have a capable OC.

lol the Ravens remind of the Giants just making up crap for "motivation". anyways back to Garrett his problem is that he doesnt know how to adjust he basically uses the same gameplan against everyone. the onliy times he really starts to open it up is late in games when we are down which makes no ****in sense... do that from the beginning keep the defense guessing and on their heels!!! his offenses seem to only look good when we are playing the sucky teams because well they dont know how to adjust theres a reason those teams are garbage!

Last year Garrett was much more creative. Last year Romo did a lot of rollouts and play action. This year Romo has become more of a pocket player. I don't know if Garrett had something to do with this design. But Romo is the most dangerous QB when he is out of the pocket. Why not find a way to move him around? We are some of the leagues best defenses and Garrett wants Romo to stand tall in the pocket like Bledsoe. That doesn't make sense.

Secondily, I remembered that we also moved TO around in the slot position. Why haven't we done that this year? Is Garrett saving it for a special moment like a playoff game or the Superbowl?

Garrett as a playercaller has regressed and it pains me to say it. This is another game where the defense was giving us the middle and was calling for screen passes yet Garrett kept going deep until the last part of the game. Why not take what is given and let the defense adjust?

This is what I'm disappointed with Garrett. He seems to lost the edge when calling the offense. I would rather have Sean Payton calling the plays.

I have been critical of Jason Garrett. He is a riverboat gambler, and I think he needs to play his cards closer to his vest sometimes.

However, he didn't lose this game. He came out with Romo and ran his stuff.

If Romo makes the throws to Austin and Owens, Garrett isn't on the hotseat tonight, or if the defense doesn't give up 159 yards on 2 carries, he isn't on the hotseat.

He isn't going anywhere. Root for him to grow.

I wish Choice would have got the ball more tonight. He got it 17 times, but I'm not wanting Garrett to get fired.

Garrett freaking blows on play calling.

Like one poster said, the screen was there all freakin night for the taking.

Where is the motion? Where is the misdirection? Where is the shallow crossing routes?

Seriously, I have seen more creative playcalling by my girlfriend on Madden!!!

If I had to get rid of a coach this offseason, Redball would be the one.

I remember being jacked up that he was coaching. Back during hard knocks when he was talking about not making excuses, I was ready to roll.

that, were not doing that this year"

And now I could really care less if he is here next season. I said a few days ago that I hoped the whole staff stays for consistency's sake but if Dallas is going to be consistently as crappy on offense that they have been for the last few games, screw it. Get him out.

He just isn't cutting it.

Sorry, but he had no business calling that play to Owens in the first place. It was what? - the 3rd play of the game? Romo was playing with a sore back and Garrett should have given him more time to warm up before trying that deep crap.

All I know is... I have seen teams with lesser talent execute better than our team/Garrett.

The Slant = not in the playbook?

I hate these passes that are parallet to the LOS.

Choice ran the ball 17x's and all were the same play:confused:   , even i in a drunkin stooper was able to call out the plays we were running. To make matters worse Tony would audible into a wrong play 90% of the time last nite.

Because he sucks! But your analysis on why the middle was open late game was due to the fact baltimore was basically playing a prevent.

You have to gut the coaching staff. Get cowher or holmgren

Garrett has an enormaous amount of talent to use and he undoubtedly does not know how to get the most out of it at times....we've seen it too many times now to be a coincidence.

WE'RE SO SCREWED: seriously, where do we go from here? Anyone that thinks we win in Philly is certifiable: we lose by 20 minimum.

I thought he'd figured it out the way he called the second Washington game. Wrong. Turns out, we were only running because of necessity in that game with Romo not yet fully recovered.

Amazing that he had all week to think about it, and came to the conclusion that we needed to heave low-percentage bombs to win this game.

:hammer:
