I knew we should have been rooting for Giants to win...

Now in order for us to make the playoffs, these things have to happen: Either we win out, or win two out of the next three and hope Giants or Eagles lose a game. I really don't see us beating the Saints..

Giants remaining schedule:
@Washington
Carolina
@Minnesota

Eagles remaining schedule:
San Francisco
Denver
@Dallas

If Eagles would have lost, we'd only need to beat the Commanders and Eagles... but since Eagles won, we not only have to beat the Commanders and Eagles, but hope that the Giants or Eagles drop a game. Looking at their remaining schedules, I do not see that happening... Our best bet would be for the Commanders to take out the Giants, but I don't see that happening. Carolina will have a tough time beating the Giants in New York. Minnesota will most likely have nothing to play for and be resting key players.

I do not see the Eagles losing to the 49ers or Broncos, honestly. MAYBE the Broncos, but that's a big maybe.

We're screwed... our best bet was for the Giants to win tonight, and that didn't happen. :bang2:

I agree that we should have been rooting for the Giants...but chances are that either the Giants or Eagles will lose again and week 17 should be for a playoff birth.

Normally I'd agree, but it sucks that the Packers and Eagles have been on such a winning streak. They are not making it easy on us... our competition keeps winning.

no way with the way the giants defense is playing they win 3 in a row

i have a feeling minny will have to play for some reason or the other in week 17. they have not sewn up anything as of yet

the eagles also play denver who is no pushover.

we control our own fate.

If we beat the Saints then doesn't that put the Vikings back in the race for homefield throughout? You pull out that win and you may have the Vikings playing in week 17.

I have faith in this team to beat the Commanders and Eagles... but to beat the Saints in New Orleans? I find it highly unlikely.

And besides, if we pull out the win against the Saints, we'd just need to beat the Commanders and Eagles and we're in.

0-3 (8-8)

Playoffs are slim for us.

Packers would already be in. We would need giants to lose all 3 remaining games. We have head to head tie breaker vs Atlanta, so they must also lose 1 game atleast. We also have to pray: 49ers and Bears don't win out. We already have tie breaker vs Seahawks and Panthers if they win out and finish 8-8 too.

1-2 (9-7)

If the cowboys beat the eagles. To win our division eagles have to lose all 3 games. To win a wildcard, the Giants lose 2 games. There is no way to overtake the Packers even if they lose out.

If the cowboys beat the Commanders. We have no chance to win our division and we must get a wildcard. The Cowboys make it if the Giants lose 2 games. There is no way to overtake the Packers even if they lose out.

If the cowboys beat the saints. We have no chance to win our division and we must get a wildcard. The Cowboys make it if the Giants lose 2 games. There is no way to overtake the Packers even if they lose out.

2-1 (10-6)

The cowboys make it as a wildcard if the Giants do not win out.

The cowboys make it as a wildcard if the Packers lose 3 games.

There is no way we win our division if we lose to the eagles due to conference tie breaking record (even under best common opponent scenario).

We could also win our division if we beat the eagles and Commanders/saints and the eagles lose one of their other 2 games.

3-0 (11-5)

The cowboys make it because they win their division.

Vikings may not have anything to play for that last game... the more losses NYG has the better.

I don't think it matters. That is a road game for the Giants and they have been atrocious lately no matter who they play. Their defense is terrible and I still think with Minny's backups it will be tough for the Giants to win that game.

After the last two weeks, does anyone think we are going to beat any of the remaining opponents? New Orleans at home, wow...we may get embarrassed. Washington is playing better and always plays us tough. Philadelphia seems to love playing Dallas, we always seem to fold to help them the most.

Good Bye Wade Phillips. You are the worst coach in December in the history of the NFL.

You know what if the Cowboys had taken care of business themselves it be a non issue.

Dam, it basically boils down to this......

If we win out, we win the division and host a playoff game.

If we lose 1 game, we no longer control our destiny and need either the Giants or the Eagles to lose to somebody. We can only get in the playoffs with help.

Now considering we are playing the Saints in the SuperDome and Ware will be watching on his TV back in Dallas, I say we will be lucky to not get embarrassed. So it looks like we are going to need help if we are to make the playoffs this year.

Dam, an 8-3 team not making the playoffs........talk about a choke job.:mad:

I just got through playing with the Yahoo generator and came up that if NY loses or ties one of it's remaining games and Dallas beats Washington and Philly, we're in as the wildcard. That's all it takes.

Then again, we'd be playing Philly the very next week in their house.

The other one I really liked was if Philly loses to Denver (possible), Dallas beats Philly and Washington, plus NY loses or ties one game then Dallas walks in as the #4 seed and the division winner. We'd get Green Bay at home I think was the most likely scenario.

How about a 5-0 team not making it either? That's a huge one right there.

Yea, thats a major choke job as well.

The way it is looking, the Eagles are most likely going to take the division and it is going to come down to either us or the Giants getting the last Wildcard.
