I know I have been a vocal critic about Parcells

But his teams paid attention to details and this team does NOT. We already have given up more special teams TDs in 4 games than we gave up in 4 years with Parcells. And this team cannot tackle. Miles Austin is a 5th WR...which means he better be productive on ST. He is HORRENDOUS. Do I need to say it again? He is very close to not even making it the entire season on this team. I am all for the players being carefree and unafraid of making mistakes...but our Special Teams has gotten or almost gotten several FGs, XPs and punts blocked. And we cannot cover. And we slip trying to tackles guys more than I have ever seen. Lastyly, where is all of the production Spears and Canty promised...they are big and slow...and they always will be. One of them needs to be moved inside and the other needs to either be gone or back up inside. They offer very little off the edge. They are being outplayed by 7th round picks and undrafted free agents. And please do not get me started on Bobby Carpenter...I would be here all night

You're gonna get it. I could start, but I'm going to let the guys not in the east time zone take care of it.

Yeah, and Parcells' teams had 5 wins after 5 games how many times the 4 years he was here?

The special teams haven't been great, I'll give that to you, but you also need to keep in mind they absolutely shut down Hester and it was during that Chicago game that Keith Davis got hurt - he is a big part of the cover team.

well, we are missing our best special teams player. We need Keith Davis back bad!

Wade Phillips has done a terrific job. But I don't think Parcells' teams would have been called for 3 delay of games for spiking the ball. We have to stop that.
I'm nitpicking. Bring on New England!

We hardly ever put teams away playing under Parcells. I'm betting we wouldn't be 5-0. One of those first 4 teams would have hung with us because we would be playing it close to the vest and we would have lost.

No these are the types of games that you relish the win, but realize that you're not going to get another win playing like they did, and REALLY focus on your mistakes and correct them. This was the best thing that could have happened to them before NE. They played terrible, yet still find a way to win. Now we will have even more focus going into next weeks' game. 5-0 is still 5-0 no matter how you split it.

Parcells would have also had Romo take a knee at the end of the first half, instead of getting 3 pts, forcing us to get a TD at the end instead of a fg. (all things being equal) That's what ball-control gets you.

our ST play is horrendous the last two games w/o Keith Davis but Tuna had alot of screwups too.

really, jason called too aggressive a game and abandoned the run waaaaay too early... something he needs to learn from. romo can't be put in that position in his 15th start lets get real.

Maybe and only maybe did the Parcells Cowboys pay attention to the details. I remember him saying something to the affect that he "didn't teach penalties". Doesn't sound like he was addressing his teams ability to pay attention to the details, unless the details were purposely commiting penalties. How would Parcells have handled tonights game at half-time? Based on his history, from what I have observed, it is likely that he would have added to the frustration by scowling and beating them down, totally demoralizing them. Just a guess. Somebody said tonight on ESPN that it was what Parcells brought to this team that allowed them to pull it out. I disagree. I think that Phillips & Garret are a breath of fresh air that is encouraging as well as tough. This team wants to play hard for these guys and doesn't give up. Think about it guys. They overcame an absolutely awful game by their quarterback as well as some very questionable officiating (TO spike?, TO push-out, non-PI call on Hurd, non-PI on 2 pt attempt). Bills only scored 3 on offense. This team has come to life with the new coaching staff, despite "not paying attention to the details".

I can state categorically that this is true.

It's a new rule this season, after all.

Yes there was so much attention to detail last year we backed into the playoffs.

The past is something to learn from, not hold on to...
