Did anyone notice at the 5:52 mark in the 4th quarter after Jason Witten's catch when we were driving for the go ahead score how animate Wade Phillips was on the side lines about getting the offense to the huddle?

I have to worry about this a little bit. Does Wade have so little faith in his own defense to stop the Eagles that he rushes the offense at a critical point in the game? Did he really believe that Dallas would need to save as much time on the clock as possible for his offense.

Maybe I'm being cynical and have so little faith in the defense myself but why else would Wade be rushing the offense so with 5:52 left in the game?

If you don't believe the defense can stop a team, then why would you rush your offense to score, so the Eagles can get the ball back?

Let the guy get into the game, he is emotional, it shows all the time during the game. It's Wade, get used to it, its not changing.

Of all the things to worry about from this game, and there are quiet a few, this is the last...

I'll have to admit that as much as I dogged the defense, they only gave up 1 TD in the second half.

maybe because it was a long walk and if guys are celebrating u get a delayed of game ??

I was the exact opposite.

You just had a 40 yard play and everyone is celebrating at the LOS.

He was telling them to get down field. There is a play clock.

It was just Wade being heads up. Quit trying to spin something thats just smart/common sense.

I agree with the above posters. It was probably to get the lineman down the field so that they can get the play off before the play clock expires.

Dang, you make a point I did not consider and just when I'm ready to give props you have to go in with conspiracy theory that I'm trying to dog someone or take a anti Cowboys stance on it.

Quit doing your own spinning.

Exactly. Plus you want to give Romo as much time at the LOS as possible in case he needs to audible out of the play. I though Wade's head was totally in the game.

Not sure about the presser, but the game he was.

Thank you for pointing that out and making PERFECTLY good sense with out having to throw the insults in.

I stand corrected. I did not consider that.

Trying to catch the defense off-guard? I can understand where you are coming from, but that's pretty low on the totem pole of things to worry about for me.

My bad im sorry.

You got guys like Johnnymac runnin around so you never know.

I apologise.

How bout dem Cowboys!! WOOOOOOOOO

Yeah, I don't buy anything out of the normal in Wade's demeanor or actions. We do make some silly mental mistakes for some dumb penalties--he'd just seen close to 10 by that point, right? I stands to reason he might have been trying to coax the offense into staying frosty.

Someone needs to tell Romo that giving up 2 points on a turnover is better than the alternatives of a FG or TD. If he just taps the ball out of the end zone with his foot instead of trying a futile effort at making a play, that keeps 5 points off the board with a free kick to reclaim the field position battle. I guess it's easy to say that here from my unthreatened, hindsight POV.

It's cool man! I just got caught up in the moment at that point in the game and was thinking we needed to take our time and get it right. I never really considered what was going off camera.

I didn't have a problem with what Romo tried to do. He wanted to make something out of nothing and turn a bad thing in a good thing. Of course it went from bad to worse, but the point is that Romo has a history of making something out of nothing. So, for him to do what he did, I have no problem with it. (other than giving up the TD.)
