I like J. Hatcher, but is he worth active game day?

Has Hatcher even been in the DL rotation much this year, anybody seen him? ...

He's in last place accd. to NFL stats, for Cowboys tackles. To wit, two assists this season. At least all the guys above him have a "solo tackle" ...

I like Hatch, he's a serious guy, has a family. But he's a funny and smart guy when he tells Tashard and Marty B. to shut up (at serious and other times on YouTube vids in the last few months ...)

But waiting on the sidelines is Marcus Dixon. Very improved in OTAs if not preseason, before he was injured ... coaches reportedly said he was real stout ...

Is Hatcher on special teams? ... Is he a relatively high draft pick that Jerry - cum Ireland, cum Tuna, doesn't want to admit failure on ?

I wonder if there are going to be some changes this week. If all Hatcher has done is 2 assists in 5 games, it may be time for Dixon, or maybe we can activate Charles Haley (do we have his rights? ... he apparently about broke Ware's arm demonstrating a move ... .lol)

Not a really good comparisons since he isn't a guy that is going to be playing KO or punt coverage... or making tackles when the O turns the ball over. The guy he backs up only has 7, so it isn't like you'd expect a ton

I remember Dixon BEASTIN' in TC a few last year. What's the latest word on him?

Hatcher is a nickel player. So throw tackles out. Pressures and sacks is what he should be judged on.

I seem to recall reading that at some point, Hatcher was tied with Ware in QB pressures.

That may not be the case right now, but he seems to have a lot of push compared to the other DEs.

I don't even know why this question is being asked. Jason Hatcher doesn't get alot of plays to get them pressures and Quarterback sacks.

Hatcher is a good player. If someone were to get hurt, he could fill in.

i have no doubt that hatcher will eventually go somewhere else and have a good career and we'll be left wondering "why didn't he do that here?" And the answer will be, as it always is, is that Dallas is a place where players go to underperform and not compete.

Both Hatcher and Bowen are under publized players who do their job reasonably but not spectacularly well. Both get good pressure when inserted but don't seem to get a lot of sacks. Which is why they are third down specialists who don't start.

I'd like to see what Dixon can do in either Hatcher's or Bowen's place. I'd love to find another Ratliff on the team.
