They didn't get all my favorite 'names', but when I look back at it, if these guys pan out, this can be a very nice draft.

I wasn't a big fan of Zeke, well any RB at that pick, but I'm warming up to it. The lack of fumbles and I also read he didn't give up a sack in 2015 is pretty impressive. TO differential and pass protection(contributing to improved pass rating -> differential) are both strong correlators to winning. Combined with his actual production at the position, it's a very intriguing pick.

I love Jaylon Smith, he reminds me of Patrick Willis who was awesome. Did they say they saw him at MLB? I'd put Lee at MLB and Jaylon at Will but I'll assume Marinelli is probably a better coordinator than me.

I knew of Collins before the draft and liked him a lot but he wasn't brought in so I didn't think we were that serious about him. He's born to play 3 tech in this scheme. He's just weak at the POA, but the dude just turned 21 a few weeks ago. He'll get stronger. He's like a bigger version of Geno Atkins coming out.

Charles Tapper is raw. His arm length is crazy. Its going to be interesting to watch him develop. They had him playing some weird frog position at OU where he had both hands on the ground. Not sure what's up with that. Like someone else said, best sparq score among DE or DL or something. I think he can be like a Michael Bennett for us.

I think most of us saw the Dak pick coming. Smart, intangibles. If you're getting a project you might as well pick a good one. He has potential at least.

I have no idea who they're picking in the 6th. I'm going to guess some big CB or safety that didn't have any production. WR will probably be one. Maybe that Deon King guy.

I'm thinking they go CB, Safety, and/or WR now. We need someone to push body catcher Williams who never really stepped up when Dez went down.

Get what your saying about Smith he is a stud pre injury....but this team really needed a starter at DE with that second pick IMO. No issues with Collins though. Looking at what is left is there really a good DE left who can make an impact?

Cmon man, how many rookie DE are gonna make an impact on this team? D Law was better than these 2nd round and he still made next to no impact his rookie year.

Only the very short sighted focus their draft picks with only next year in mind.

Meh. Zeke is good. Besides that the usual 2nd round hope pick and a bunch of guys unlikely to amount to much.

We are weak at all aspects of defense, WR, and TE depth.

Long season ahead.

I give this draft a solid A-. Incredible work by our front office. They kicked *** for three straight days. The only curious pick for me is the RB in the 6th. Outside of that, it is a wonderful selection of talent and I anticipate many will contribute sooner rather than later.

I absolutely love the freak of nature project Rico Gathers in the 6th. Man. This training camp is going to be fun!!!

Now get a legit FA backup for Romo and let's go get this championship.

Sweet Dreams,

They took the 2nd RB cause Dunbar might not play again. He is a better, faster, healthy Dunbar

I think it was said best on draft show....this was GM drafting with alot of job security. Huge upside with alot of risk.

I'm very happy with this draft. Like always, it will take a couple years to really see how it turns out but I like it as of today.

The only reason people call our draft risky is Jaylon and he is going to be fine. Man.... I can't wait to hear what some of these negative nancies have to say when Jaylon is killing it next year.

I can live with "risky".

Right out of the chute, you'll have two starters... Elliott and the 2 DL will combine to give you a "starter". Add Smith (hopefully) next season and you have 3 starters out of one draft. I'm intrigued by the corner from Purdue.

I wasnt a fan of initially drafting Elliott seeing the defensive needs we had, but its grown on me. Jaylon Smith has the potential to be a real special player in 2017 if he can get on the field. The two dlinemen should contribute right away and are high motor guys. Prescott, is very raw but could develop.

Overall im fairly happy with the draft...

We nailed it. First time in a long time. We absolutely nailed it for 3 straight days. There's no sign of Stephen wanted this but Jerry wanted that in any of our picks. They're all very strategic and methodical picks. We, as fans, were almost able to predict many of the positions that were going to be selected before they happened. Excellent teamwork by the FO in the war room. They were prepared not only for their draft board but also for contingency.

Jerry truly wanted to take Lynch. He said he wanted him so bad that he only got a few hours of sleep Thursday night after failing to work something at the end of the 1st. They were working with their hard hats on. Although they tried again later to get Cook, I am so glad they didn't. I view him as a career backup. Dak will be a great understudy for Romo. They did their homework and on many occasions did it again before the draft. I have never seen our War Room so prepared. It was beautiful.

Now we need to go get a FA backup QB and a FA WR. Boldin is out there. I'm just not impressed with how Williams failed to truly step up when Dez was out. We need someone else to push Williams back to the slot.
