My attitude is we have to beat the team in front of us. If we don't, we simply weren't good enough to advance.
So how many elite teams would the NFC have to not be pedestrian? 5 teams with over 10 wins. What, we need another team with 12-13 wins like the Cowboys?
But I WANT to play the Giants in the divisional round. Any competitor, who truly wants to prove they are the champion, wants to face the only opponent who has beat them. I would want to beat them so this way, if the Cowboys run the table and win the SB, no one can say a word about who we did, or didn't face.
Would the Lions, or Packers be a better match up? Sure, but it's not who I want to play. I hope the Giants win this weekend, and I hope Detroit loses. Either way, I know the Boys will be ready for whomever it is they have to play on the 15th. I'd just love to knock the Giants out of the playoffs the way they did the Cowboys in 2007.
