I might miss Jerry when he retires

They win 3 games and are suddenly trending in the right direction........

This place really makes me laugh sometimes.
So they’re trending in the wrong direction?

This place really makes me laugh all the time.

Jerry has proven himself as a GM this year and is part of the reason why we won three superbowls in the 90s. I’m old enough to remember Jimmy Johnson and know the history between the two, but sometimes I wonder if we’re too harsh on Jerry. He’s made mistakes but winning championships are hard and we’ve won more than 95% of the league.

Thank you Jerry.
But Jethro got us into this mess he was trying to dig out of. And most likely still comes up short.

He’s been the greatest obstacle last 3 decades for Cowboys to overcome .

He gets credit for hiring Jimmy but also the blame for everything since. No other GM would have survived his record his era .

Making a great decision 35 years ago doesn’t provide you a pass for life. It didn’t for Landry. Not for Belichick. The list goes on .

Jethro has been a failure for Cowboys football . No other GM would have survived. Ask yourself , who else would hire him as GM.

I do not like the narcissist, but, on the other hand, I really cannot stand DNA kid! When Jerra hangs with those worms, we get him to take care of the team. Yea! Actually can't stand either one of them.

That's funny you think he would retire. Dude ain't ever retiring. He will have to pass and who knows he might have an AI Jerry ready to take his place.

There is only one reason I would miss Jerry when he dies

And that is if his kids are worse, thats literally it
My hope is that Nepo doesn't have a taste for it and/or the media rides him hard, but I'm very worried he's going to be even worse. Very worried. I'm just hoping they move to a real GM with full control.

If that occurred what role is Stephen left with? Has to something. Charlotte and Jr have other roles. That's part of why I'm very skeptical that he'd step down after Jerry.

He’s 83.

He could live til 100 but you can’t tell me he’ll still be doing this at 86-87.
He's not really doing it now.

He just shows up when the microphones and cameras are there.

Stephen and McClay run football operations.
- Stephen drops by "Da-Dees" house for an early nightcap to discuss what has happened.

Stephen likely baited Jerry into getting mad a Micah because Stephen didn't want to give Parsons a mega contract.
- Stephen thinks Parsons is in the difficult to coach/manage category like Diggs-
- Stephen wanted to avoid another Dez or Zeke type failed contract.

Jerry is a kid with an expensive toy....he likes playing with his toy while the rest of us can only watch. I'd probably do the same thing. Lol

I don't know. Once Stephen takes over there might be some more "I miss Jerry" threads.
Which is why you have to hope Charlotte takes over. She’s highly respected around the league, sits on two high level profile committees and is smart, strategic and measured. She will let Stephen and McClay do their jobs, let the head coach handle the press conferences and bring sanity back - hell she could bring me back.

You know he could have had as much fun hiring and getting out of the way with HC’s like Jimmy.

Jethro could have been one of the greatest owners in NFL history. He certainly started off like it.

His ego after Jimmy left got in his way. What it could have been.
