For those that don't remember. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=alligator arm

The long pass plays in the middle of the field used to be stopped by the fear of a safety literally knocking out the receiver causing him and those watching to avoid the middle of the field and even if they ran the routes the effort made to catch the ball would often be less than 100%.

A couple things I liked about the game was the long field goal attempt early showing the confidence in the D to hold the Chargers and the defense delivered holding them to a FG. Don't let the outcome of the game make you forget that series, 2 years ago there was no reason to believe that would have been anything less than giving the chargers 7 points.

This was a 2 point game goin into the fourth qtr against a team that would have dropped to 1-3 making it IMO a game they couldn't afford to lose and it was on their field. It was a playoff game for them and they played a really good game.

No but SD has as good a QB, RB, TE as the Cowboys. They put together a 12 play drive to score and we put together a 11 play drive to match it but capped it with a turnover. That was the game. The talent level was too close to give up to's in the 4th qtr. Didn't get beat by a bad team got beat by a good team that needed a win.

Read somewhere else that Bailey had made two 54 yarders in warmups , probably prompting Garrett to go for it.

Give Jason credit for believing in Bailey, and the defense.

Recall the followup at Half Time commentary where he was quoted as saying " we need to stop them on this opening series". I think he knew what was coming. After all he was a QB, and would know where the picking were the easiest, as we saw with the Chargers game plan and execution

Thanx. I do wear rose colored glasses at times when it comes to the Cowboys and Sluts but this time I saw Rivers and Gates do what made them popular 6-7 years ago.

It wasn't a coin toss in his head, it was the kind of call a "walk around " coach makes and it lays the game in their lap. It might get overlooked or forgotten but he was asking either one of them to deliver and the defense did. Gotta be able to lean when you need to.
