 I am considering shelving out the $225.oo for a real jersey but for this much i am unsure who to go with .I mean with free agency its something i gotta think about.I would love T.O. but we know how that is,and I was thinking RW,he is my fav,or maybe an old school player.any hints?

I guess I don't get that. TO has played elsewhere and you'd consider his. Yet if Roy were to leave it would taint his?

by that logic the only safe choice is bledsoe then.
he will retire when he leaves here I should think
drew henson woudl be a safe bet too

maybe julius jones?

I would get a darren woodson jersey myself.

If you're worried about someone leaving, get an old jersey. Honestly, though, I wouldn't shell out a lot of money for the jersey of a former player unless it has a signiature.

As for current players, if you are really concerned with tenure, Roy, Witten or Newman are probably your 3 best options. Yes, yes, yes, I know that 2 of the 3 of them are going to become free agents, but also note that they are our 3 cornerstone, homegrown talents. I would bet that at least 2, if not all three, will get to stay.

They have been productive, and if there is one thing we all know, Jones takes care of his own. These guys bring revenue to the team - Jones knows that.

Just get the Roy - he isn't going anywhere.

no I am saying that i would love to get TO but for this much money i want to get a jersey with some reassurance that the player will still be a cowboy.that looks horrible when people wear jerseys of a player that isnt there anymore.case in point,i still see kordell Stewart jerseys here in pitts.

Last year I went to the Draft Party at Gilley's and saw someone wearing a Ryan Leaf jersey. I couldn't fathom why he would wear it in public, other than 1) it was about 3-4 sizes too small and showed off his very toned arms and very unathletic beer belly and 2) he paid a lot of money for it, might as well get some use.

I have a Bob Lilly jersey. I wear quite proudly. I have a Dorsett, he moved on to Denver. I have a Staubach.

I think your odds are good a kid who grew up a Cowboys fan and is living his dream and is a cornerstone of the team that isn't cap strapped is going to continueon. But hey, that's just me, I'm optimistic that way.

At the draft a guy had a Broncos Clarett jersey.

I kid you not.

Right in front of us a guy had a Rams Lawrence Phillips.

Juckie, dont mean to insult you if it seems that way, but whatever you do make sure you dont get the jersey from any Ebay source or others offering the jersey for substantially less.

Just trying to make sure you get the real deal.

Maybe it was to remind the teams of their past draft errors.

Me, I have a Henson #11 jersey that will never be worn. :bang2:

juckie, if you're afraid of him leaving, I suggest that you wait until a contract deal is worked out, then buy it.

I understand how you feel about that.

When I was younger (and didn't know his price), Joey Galloway used to be my favorite player. I got his jersey, and a few years later, he was gone. Not sure if my 20-ish year old cousin knew (he's a Giants fan), but for Christmas, he got me a RW jersey. Hopefully Roy doesn't go...

He was really a Kansas City fan who's into voodoo.

Actually, regarding all the jersey talk, I feel I should point out I own no jerseys.

My Cowboy's paraphenalia is as follows:

1 Cap
3 T-Shirts (one from the Triplets Game from last year that my old man gave me - I had to work - frigging hurricane)
1 Hoody (Bought at the game because I spilled coffee on my tshirt that morning)

That's it.

I've never been into jersey buying, just because I would never wear one - just sort of not me to wear one.

I am buying a condo or house in the fall and am considering having either a den decorated for the cowboys or decorate my office with stuff, at which time I will begin to collect some things. But as far as wearable jerseys, nah - too much money for something I'll never wear. I'd sooner buy an autographed one and frame it.
