I don't know that Garrett will play Romo. I think Dak plays all of these two games except maybe the final quarter against philly depending on the situation.

I will say Garrett now has the opportunity to give Romo a final curtain call at home. This is the last chance for romo to ever play at home as a Dallas Cowboy. After everything that has happened and all the time spent here I really hope they find a way to get Romo in the game monday night for the fans to say goodbye. Even if its for the kneel down if Dallas is winning.

I am going to be pretty pissed if romo doesnt get into the game just for the curtain call monday night. no reason not to and especially if the game would allow it via the score.

I doubt we see Romo at all unless Dak is hurt. There is no upside to it. All this, he needs to get ready in case he is needed, is kinda hogwash to me. Tony will be ready when/if called upon. It might take a series or two to get back in the grove but that is about it. IF they decide to rest Dak, it will be Sanchez taking the snaps, not Tony. They are to scared of what Tony will do. When he balls out, and then Dak struggles in the playoffs, then what,, going to lose the game with Romo on the bench to prove a point? They won't touch that and they will leave Romo out of the games unless he is needed.

Knowing our fans and the amount of hatred our own fans have for Tony, they would probably BOO him the entire time he was out there.

That is completely false. Maybe that is the way it is wherever you live and fans you talk to but Its not the feeling in the stadium.

If he were to get to come in and play, say the 4th qtr people would be appreciative.

In a perfect world here is how Monday night would go. In pregame where they always show closeups of the star players and play music off the players iPods they play Don't Stop Believing and show Romo.

Then The cowboys have a two score lead in the fourth quarter and Tony Romo comes in to play the 4th quarter and finish the game. All the other offensive starters stay in. Romo gets his curtain call, the fans get to say goodbye one last time and then Romo takes them down the field and hits witten in the end zone for a final time and the game is out of reach.

Then at philly, Dak plays the first three quarters again and romo plays the 4th qtr. This way Romo gets to feel what it is to come into active game for the second week in a row and dak is not rusty.

ITs the perfect scenario. There is to much history with Romo to not get him on the field one final time at home monday night. I will be really pissed if garrett doesnt put him in for at least one series for the curtain call.

If he plays well QB controversy. If he plays bad or gets hurt we get stuck with Sanchez as backup. No reason for it. Maybe play the second half of the Philly game but that's it. I don't know how many starters will be playing then. If the starters are playing than Dak should play.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't curious as to how this topic plays out these last two games. Eventually I'm either going to say that some people were right or refer back again to Romo's own words when he made The Statement.

Remember how the Giants played in 2007. They played the Patriots in that week 17 game even though there was nothing to play for. We have to keep the momentum going. The only one who should be rested more is Zeke.

Nobody actually hates Romo. I've been a huge critic of his but I don't hate him. I love the guy but I call things as I see them and don't cloud the truth because he's a Cowboy. I would have loved to see him have more success because that means the team would have had that success. Even right now if I could write the ending script for the season, it would be that Dak goes down with a minor injury that keeps him out for the NFC championship and Super Bowl and Romo comes in, plays lights out, and wins both games. I would love to see that. The facts are that he overachieved for an UFA and gave us some wonderful memories but he simply never was able to get it done. It wasn't always his fault but much of the time it was. If you want to call that hating the guy fine. I call it objectively identifying the truth.

I really believe we will see Romo in the second half of Mondays night's game. Dak can get his reps in and then rest a touch. Romo gets in with most of the offense still out there minus Zeke. Two birds with one stone. Dak & Zeke get a second half blow & Romo gets one last hoorah.

I agree. They played the pats close in that game and it set the stage for them believing they could beat them when they faced them in the playoffs.

No we wouldn't... We love Dak and all that he promises now & for the future. There is no controversy. Dak is our guy. This would be good for Romo to get a few reps in just in case, by some strange stroke of bad luck, Dak gets injured & we actually need Romo to pick up the slack. I can't see any level headed Dak fans booing a Romo thing in the second half.

If he gets hurt, we look weak because we only have Sanchez behind Dak.
Keep em healthy for when/if we need him I say.

Tony is throwing every day he knows the offense
You know if he takes a shot he's going to be hurt so let's just save him in case of emergency in the playoffs.

Practice is not even close to game speed action.

Tony is the backup QB. As there is nothing further to be gained by the Cowboys with regard to playoff seeding, et cetera - why wouldn't the team treat him like any other backup and see that he gets some action prior to the playoffs. If anything, it's an opportunity to boost Romo's trade value to the suitor-teams whom will be seeking short-term solutions for next season.

Or should they needlessly expose Dak to injury by overusing him in meaningless games. The Cowboys need to gut-check the depth behind their frontline players at all positions heading into the postseason - including QB. This is like chucking the ball deep during an encroachment (non-unabated to the QB) penalty by the defense. It's a 'free play'. So chuck it.
