Follow me here: we all recognized that Dez is a real threat at PR when he used to do it. Consensus seemed to be that he was a weapon but it wasn't worth the injury risk....

Well we have seen how this O works this season without Dez due to injury. We know that Dak, Zeke, and this O-line can have this O going without him. I don't think injury is as much of a concern as he isn't necessarily the biggest part of our offense right now.

Not only do we gain a bigger threat in the punt game but we can also help dez get involved more and get more touches which I'm sure he would be all for.

Not really sure Dez is as explosive as he was 5 years ago and at this point I really don't see much a difference between him and Lucky. Actually I prefer Lucky.

Dez is much slower now. No way it happens or should happen.

Since teams don't normally double both gunners, but will double one, I would put both Dez and Beasley back for punts. Have them separate and run a reverse option at a critical time in a game. Either one of those guys can break it, and with the right set-up the chances increase.

Just my opinion.

Why risk Bryant's health?

I too saw he growing pains with Dak and Dez, but it looks like they're getting on the same page.

We're going to need Dez to make big plays for us in the playoffs. I'd rather him not be injured on PR.
When Dez gets single coverage he's a 7 catch 100 yard 1 TD guy. When they double him he is non existent. Coaching needs to find a way to get him the ball more. Screens and pick routes under the coverage helps but our coaching never does either.

I would always put 2-3 guys deep.....it would eliminate a lot of the blocks in the back and holding calls

Im fine with double coverage then. Witten and bease will combine for 140+1 or they'll worry about them too and elliot will go for 160+2
