The Cowboys are an organization that has been built on excellence and classy players since day one. America's Team does not need to stoop so low as to sign someone who has been indicted for aggravated assault and murder.

I know he wasn't actually convicted, but it was a situation where the witnesses (Ray's friends) eventually changed their stories after they realized their millionaire friend (who had taken them for the ride with him) might end up behind bars.

I am convinced Ray was responsible for the stabbing deaths of those two men, as evidenced by his undisclosed payouts to the victim's families. As Cowboy fans, we can agree that any player that has ever attacked someone with a sharp object has no place on America's Team!

We are the classiest organization in the NFL with unquestionably the classiest, most knowledgeable, and non-bandwagon fans. Join me in getting the message loud and clear to Jerry: WE HAVE NO PLACE FOR CRIMINALS ON THE DALLAS COWBOYS!

Say no to Ray Ray! 5 Time Super Bowl Champs! How Bout Dem Cowboys! WHOOOOOO!

I think Ray was a damn good player but I disagree with the reason people want him here. You don't buy leadership

Like Michael Irvin?

I would qualify that statement with "any player that has ever killed another human being".

And you're probably also convinced OJ got 15 years for robbing some guy over sports memorabilia, rather than the double homicide he was acquitted of 15 years before.

When did Mike attack someone with a sharp object? He is my all time favorite Cowboy, news of an incident like this would be devastating to me.

The Cowboys are a class team without the c and the l.

These Cowboys don't understand the priviledge they have of wearing the star.

If Jerry goes after Ray Lewis, be afraid be very afraid he might go after Mike Vick if Commish Goddell doesnt suspend Vick after his prison sentence is over.

This isn't even close to being the same. Everyone hates Michael Vick. Ray Lewis is regarded as the best most loved defensive leader in all of football. Everyone seems to have forgotten the trouble Lewis was in. Of course that would probably change the minute he put a :starspin on his uniform.

I followed the case pretty close, mainly because I had just moved to Atlanta and had passed the bar (Cobalt Lounge) about 10 minutes before it happened.

Ray Lewis wasn't convicted because his friends changed their story. He wasn't convicted because the prosecution should have never tried him in the first place because they didn't have a case. In fact, Ray turned state's evidence against his friends, but they still didn't get prosecuted.

The prosecution's evidence against Lewis mainly consisted of an ex-con who later recanted his story and said he wasn't even there and the limo driver who said he thought he heard Lewis say "I'm not going down for this" to other members of his crew in the back of the limo.

You don't bargain to that extent with people accused of double homicide unless you don't have a case. And being there in Atlanta, there was a lot of pressure for the prosecutors to go after Lewis because of racial tensions in Buckhead at the time.

I've felt this way about Lewis for a long time. It's not as bad as the Duke Lacrosse case, but it wasn't too far off.

That's my take on it as well.
