I respect PETA for the first time in my life

I read a story that says PETA and the Michael Vick camp have parted ways on propsoed public service announcements that would feature Vick as encouraging respect and kindness for animals, especially dogs.

The stickling point?

PETA would not go along with the Vick request that it get behind Vicks re-admission to the NFL. It's leader sais Vick's mercenary approach stunk.

And I agree.

PETA has done a lot of things wrong in its short years but by not going alone with Vick's you-scrath-my-back-I'll-scratch-your-back plan, PETA has shown that it has higher principles and standards by not doing this for Vick.

If any team hires Vick, I look forward to PETA protests at stadiums where Vick appears.

Vick is lucky that PETA of all organizations wanted anything to do with him. Now he starts making demands. He's a piece of crap and it will be interesting to see who's desperate enough to sign him. WATERBURY, Vt. -- People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals sent a letter to Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, cofounders of Ben & Jerry's Homemade Inc., urging them to replace cow's milk they use in their ice cream products with human breast milk, according to a statement recently released by a PETA spokeswoman.

"PETA's request comes in the wake of news reports that a Swiss restaurant owner will begin purchasing breast milk from nursing mothers and substituting breast milk for 75 percent of the cow's milk in the food he serves," the statement says.

PETA officials say a move to human breast milk would lessen the suffering of dairy cows and their babies on factory farms and benefit human health.

"The fact that human adults consume huge quantities of dairy products made from milk that was meant for a baby cow just doesn't make sense," says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. "Everyone knows that 'the breast is best,' so Ben & Jerry's could do consumers and cows a big favor by making the switch to breast milk."

"We applaud PETA's novel approach to bringing attention to an issue, but we believe a mother's milk is best used for her child," said a spokesperson for Ben and Jerry's.

I heard they wanted VIck to submit to psychoanalysis before doing those PSAs and he didnt want to go through all that.

They mentioned him fighting his family dogs with the trained killers and only a crazy person would do that.

When he didnt go along with the tests, they dropped the idea for the ads.

Either way, it's like PETA tried to pimp him using his predicament as a their platform but he was gonna pimp them if they wanted to pimp him.

Sounds like PETA can't get with the idea of returning a favor.

I got a buddy named Tony who used to work at the meat counter of a grocery store chain. One time he heard a crash and some people running through the store screaming PETA!

They had smashed the lobster tank. I guess they figured the lobsters would escape and survive in the deserts of Arizona.

Tony said they had lobster for lunch.
