We need an intense guy running the team. He is a born leader and the Chicago D showed that when he played.

Norv and Gibbs are to passive.

I like Phillips because his players respect and play hard for him.

If Phillips is out give me Singletary.

Only way I take Norv is if Singletary becomes DC.

Singletary would certainly provide the emotional/motivational streak this teams needs. For that reason alone I like the guy.

No chance would be Les Miles since he has not interviewed. To say no chance for a coach interviewing for the job is ********.

I agree, jerry like to roll the dice and make headlines. I love singletary. We need a coach like singletary going into hostile stadiums like philly and washington.

I'm inclined to think this would be a good choice. It sounds from other threads like he isn't a great X and 0 guy at this point -- that makes sense since he hasn't coached much -- but his motivational skills and intensity are clearly very special

according to doomsday81's NFL sources, MIke Singletary is another one of the up and coming young HCs

while they're scratching their hands figuring out why we're intersted in Norv Turner

Again I would have no beef with that except for the fact that we dont have any truly proven, well rounded, coordinators to go with it.

But hey.. why not, because as of now it appears the staff is going to be less than ideal no matter how you slice it.

With Jerry having the reputation as being a gambler,he has a chance right now to be an owner who really rolled the dice.I could see Jerry handing the job to Jason or Mike.I would be on board with either choice as head coach or the combination of the two.You think Jerry would would be on top of the world should he be lucky and strike another gusher so to speak?

CowboysZone DIEHARD Fan
Fans at their superficial best,,,

Maybe Jerry make "The Rock" our next HC,,, he looks tough, plenty of charisma, played college ball.

and maybe you should drop your doctor and find a TV actor that looks smarter,,, he'll almost certainly do a better job. :D

The only way Singletary could be a success as HC this early in his coaching career is if ALL of his assistants and coordinators are top notch, potential head coaches themselves.

Singletary will do what BP failed to do. Motivate his players and make them play to their potential. BP spent so much time trying to mold players, look at Julius for example. Julius Jones was twice the back he is now during his rookie season. Then BP started to play mind games with him, and changed the way hes played footabll his whole life. Now hes nothing more than an average.

If nothing else Singletaty has the kind of intensity I like and he's got a real shot at being a good HC and I am not so sure it's as much of a dice roll as Norv is.

I'm glad you all are warming up to the Singletary for HC idea. Someone pointed out how Jerra likes to make a splash. for this reason I believe Singletary might throw a wrench in the works. One can only hope. I'm ok with Singletary for HC and also ok with Norv for HC if Singletary is DC.

anyone who has the NFLN will tell u the coaching clinic Singletary put on was just unreal... he pushed every player to give a little more!!!

He will not stand dogging it in practice!

thats what I like in a HC...

as for Rivera, I know nothing about him never watch him coached!!!

Norv, brings back the past and I can root for any team that has Norv as the Head Coach!

Bowles is a joke... if he cant get Roy to drop some LBs as a position coach he has no business being on the staff!

I say let Jerry be the Head Coach maybe that will put a ton of years on his life and he will be gone before I'm too old!!!
