Just as you tore apart the Packers, you could easily do the same with our team. Sure their Oline isn't great.. it has never been good though and that rarely stops Rodgers. What kind of pressure can we get on Rodgers with our Dline? The last elite QB that rolled into Dallas absolutely shredded our defense. Rodgers would have no problem moving the ball on us. The question is if we can keep up with them.. with Romo, it just depends on which Romo shows up out there. If they played us this Sunday in Dallas.. I could see them being favored by 7 or so points. I can't look at that game and honestly pick the Cowboys to win it. If, I'm being truly honest, I have to count it as a loss. Anything is possible though, I'm not saying we can't win it.. just doesn't seem likely in my mind.

Of course you can, but there are some significant points to be made in that respect.

1. We have played better comp then they have.

2. I never said we didn't have weakness'. I said they are not unbeatable.

3. I never said we had no chance to beat them. Your opening statement kind of proves that point right?

1. Yes, you would be correct. Not sure how that correlates into us beating them though?

2. I agree they are not unbeatable but if looking forward, I can't write a W next to that game. Can we beat them? Yes, but what are the odds? I think the odds would favor them if we played them right now.

3. You lost me...I'm not sure what you are talking about here?

Let's just agree to disagree on that game.. fair enough? I've heard your reasons for thinking we will win that game and I know you follow the pack pretty close but the reasons didn't convince me enough to mark it off as a W in my mind and your reasoning was enough for you to check it off as a W. Is what it is.

I already talked about the Lions.

As for the Saints and Packers? Bottom line is that we won't be able to stop them. Saints are outstanding at home. Packers just won a tough road game in Baltimore. I see Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers having similar success than Peyton Manning. We are not talking about Eli (15 picks), Sam Bradford or even RGII, who did not impress me on Sunday. These guys are cream of the crop and will likely eat up this defense. Romo will have to outscore them them and I don't see it.

Bears are a bit different. Monday night. In Chicago. In December. In the cold. I just see all the elements against us. If the Bears are out of the playoff running, then maybe we can catch them playing out the string. But I think they will still be in the chase and we will get theri best.

I don't think this line of thinking is too harsh. It's simply based on what I've seem so far.

We are an average team, probably right around 15th in the league. We likely beat the teams ranked below us, but we won't beat the teams ranked ahead us most of the time. That's just how I see it.

This is a great response and I agree with it vs the Saints and Packers. The Lions are very beatable though. The Bears always have our number and do an outstanding job creating turnovers. I see the Saints, Packers, and Bears being solid favorites over us, so I would have to put an L in the column for those games.

The original statement was that we had no chance or the like. I'm just saying that this is not even close to true.

2. I agree they are not unbeatable but if looking forward, I can't write a W next to that game. Can we beat them? Yes, but what are the odds? I think the odds would favor them if we played them right now.

I don't agree with this. Vick makes that offense go. Foles, while a nice young QB prospect, doesn't fit that style of offense nearly as well. He would work much better in our offense IMO. I feel like our chances are much better with Foles then Vick. Our defense, as depleted as it is, would be much worse off if we had to account for Vick right now. JMO

Fair enough but remember, all we have to do is win the ones we are supposed to win and beat one of the remaining 4. That gets us to 10 wins. We are capable of that IMO.

Yes, but what if we don't win the ones WE are supposed to win? Are we really supposed to be Philly this week? It's nothing more than a 50/50 game. We are what we are and right now that is a .500 team and looking at the rest of the games... it leads me to believe we will end up there. I really hope I'm wrong.. the last 2 years I have been wrong in thinking we would win more than 8 games. This team has not showed me anything to think we are better than .500.

Yes. With the Defense they have and the fact that Vick is not going to play, yes. We really should be able to do that.

THIS IS A PATHETIC EXPLANATION. Lions can be beatable with their laughable secondary, sorry LBs, Megatron is on a down year. Very beatable. The Saints can be beat at home. We've done it already. Graham, the main target is beat up. Packers are VERY beatable. Down to just 2 WRs also, Finley is the most inconsistant TE out there, running game is lackluster. Bears are not the same on D, Cutler has less O than Romo does. COLD OR HOT. Doesnt matter.

You must be joking. That's your reasoning for why we'll beat the Saints, because we've done it before? Now THAT is a pathetic explanation. That was 4 years ago.

I don't think this is a trap game. I think our guys are going to understand where we are in the scheme of things.

At least, I hope that's the case.

We have not even won 2 games in a row all season.

We have no won a single road game all season.

And you guys got us going into Chicago, Detroit, Philly, and New Orleans and getting Ws? .......................Yea, it could happen but I am not going to get my hopes up. I at that "show me" stage where you do your talking on the field and this weekend will be a big test of exactly what this team plans to do this year. If we lose to Philly and drop out of first, dont see anyway we get to 10 wins.

I can see the boys getting to 10 wins. It all starts with the next three games. IMO they must win
all three.

What say do? Doable?

Not doable the team remains too inconsistent. The next 4 out of 5 games are on the road and the Cowboys have lost both times they've played on the road this season.

We lost by 1 in KC. That's about as tough as it gets in this league. I feel good about us being able to win some games on the road this year. We just need to be able to protect the rock.

Quite honestly, I don't think it matters which QB is playing Sunday out of Vick and Foles.. either one should have success against our defense right now. Foles just finished thrashing a top 5 defense. He threw for 3 td's and rushed for 1. What makes you think he can't have a big game against our defense too? This game is going to come down to which team can score more on the other teams crappy defense... lol. It's a 50/50 game.

You think Tamap is a Top 5 defense? I don't. I think Tampa is a team that has lost 5 games to the 29th Ranked, 7th Ranked, 22nd Ranked, 25th ranked and 4th ranked scoring offense in the league. I know statistically, they are ranked number 5 but if you watch them, I am not sure you will think you are watching a top 5 defense. I don't think Foles is a fence post but I also don't think that he works as well as Vick does in the Eagles Offense. He has some limitations and I think we are better suited to face him as opposed to Vick.

JMO.

The Cowboys face some real challenges on the road this season. Next week will be a challenge against Philly's fast pace offense that's ranked #3. They have a lot of speed at the skill positions and if Vick plays it's going to be a difficult game for the Cowboys to win. The following week in Detroit won't be easy with their passing attack. The Cowboys pass D is going to have their hands full trying to contain the Stafford to Megatron connection. Detroit ranks 6th in passing. Two weeks later the Cowboys will be heading to the dome in NO. Brees is obviously going to be hard to contain and this game will no doubt be personal for Rob Ryan who was visibly upset over his firing last season with the Cowboys. You can bet he'll have his defense spitting fire against the Cowboys in 4 weeks. NO ranks 3rd in passing. The Bears certainly won't be easy on the road in Dec.

The Cowboys are not a good cold weather team and last season in Cowboys stadium the Cowboys pass D had no answers for Brandon Marshall who abused them. From what I've seen the first 6 games 8-8 is going to be a challenge for the Cowboys. The D is already starting to get injuries and without Ware for 3 weeks the Cowboys could be up against it in the coming weeks. Offenses not having to account for Ware is going to make it to make it very tough on the defense to contain Philly, NO and Detroit 3 offenses ranked in the top 10. Philly is ranked #3 in total offense and NO is #5. Without Ware that's going to be a tough road to hoe for the defense. Ware should be back for NO but who knows how affective he'll be.

All of this has already been discussed. I know what is in the future and I say, we have a good chance to win some games on the road this year.

If the Demarcus Ware was the Demarcus Ware of 5 years ago, I would agree. But this is not the 16-18 sack Demarcus Ware we are all used to. Today he of a shadow of his former self. His body is breaking down on him, sadly. It is a dropoff from Ware to Wilber, no doubt. But not as big a dropoff as it used to be.

We have a chance to win "some" games how many we'll see. So far we're 0-2 on the road.

Ware isn't the same player the injuries have brought him down but he still was on pace for a 10+ sack season before his latest injury. When he's on the field he has to be accounted for. He's never missed a game in his career so without him it's going to present a big problem for the defense regardless that he's not the same player he was.
