You think Tamap is a Top 5 defense? I don't. I think Tampa is a team that has lost 5 games to the 29th Ranked, 7th Ranked, 22nd Ranked, 25th ranked and 4th ranked scoring offense in the league. I know statistically, they are ranked number 5 but if you watch them, I am not sure you will think you are watching a top 5 defense. I don't think Foles is a fence post but I also don't think that he works as well as Vick does in the Eagles Offense. He has some limitations and I think we are better suited to face him as opposed to Vick.

JMO.

Tampa is one team that I have not watched closely this year, I was just going off the statistics that showed they were actually top 4 in the league on defense. So maybe they don't truly justify their rating. Either way you slice it.. I think this will be a high scoring 50/50 game against the Eagles though. A game I don't feel real good about either.. them having Mccoy could be the difference in this game. He is an elite back he can really kill a defense. I'm not sure in what we would have an advantage over Philly. The only thing I can think of is they do have a really bad defense and they haven't won at home in 9 straight games.. so we have that going for us. We have a bad defense though too. This game could come down to turnovers.

I know you won't agree with this, but we have a better QB and better receivers. And we face a defense worse than ours. That's why I think we win. But it won't be easy.

I agree. If we don't tackle well against McCoy, it could be a real long day for us. Will be like the old days when they used to torch us with Duce Staley or Brian Westbrook but on the other hand, I don't think they can put pressure on Romo. If they can't do that, how long do you think they can cover Dez? I like our matchup here ufc.

9 wins max. giants and skins on the road are not going to be gimmies.

I can see us doing this.

Eagles - Win
Lions - Loss
Vikings - Win
Saints - Loss
Giants - Win
Raiders - Win
Bears - Loss
Packers - Win
Commanders - Win
Eagles - Win

This assumes that we sweep the East and I think that's a realistic goal. The Bears, if we played them right now, might also be a win but we don't. We play them later in the year, in Chicago. That means that they will likely be healthier on D and it will likely be cold as heck. I think that bodes well for them. Now, if we played in a dome, then that might be different.

This gets us to 10-6 and that would be a heck of a good season for us IMO. Also, we all know what happens when an NFC East team sweeps the Division.

Not saying this will happen but I am saying that it's possible.
so you can legitimately see us going undefeated in the division this year? cmon ABQ.

Yeah, I can Zordon. We are better then all of the teams in our Division this year. RG3 doesn't look like a guy who is going to get back to his former self this season. His mechanics are so screwed up, he can't even be accurate 20 yards out. He's all over the map. Maybe he can get right next year but honestly, without him being able to hit Receives consistently or put pressure on the Defensive front by being able to keep and make yards, Washington is going to struggle to be a threat. By the end of the year, their Defense is going to be on bingo. We should be able to beat them if we are relatively healthy on the OL.

Giants are in it for Clowney already. They are a train wreck and you tell me, do you see them getting better by the end of the year? Same deal, stay healthy along to OL and we should be able to beat them.

Eagles, they are the only concern for me. Vick could get healthy and the rest he is getting now could help him at the end. At first, I figured him to go down about Mid Season and miss 4 or 5 games and then come back towards the end and struggle but now, he might be struggling at mid season and rounding back into shape towards the end. Unfortunately, for the Eagles, I don't see their D getting better and you just can't win consistently with no D in the NFL. That offense is going to wear down IMO. They will sustain injuries and I think it eventually catches up with them.

We are going to go as far as the OL takes us and if they can stay relatively healthy, we can beat every team in our division twice IMO.

Well, it has happened before. Do I really think they sweep the division? No.

But, it's not like it has never happened. This division is bad, really from the Cowboys on down, but the Cowboys have the best chance for a sweep.

The Giants? blah

The eagle? who knows?

The Racists? Not with that team!

I can see us going 6-0 in division play. It won't be an easy process. We are more consistent than the rest of the division in all 3 aspects of the game. For that reason we will find ways to win.

I think during the Chan Gailey era, we swept the division. The year we finished 10-6

It's happened a few times and if I'm not mistaken, every time it's happened, the team has gone to the Super Bowl.

Now before everybody bum rushes me, I'm not saying we are going to the Super Bowl. I'm just saying that it has happened before and when it does, the team ends up playing in the title game.

Correction:

We did sweep the Division in 98 but lost to Az in the playoffs so you don't always go to the SB if you sweep the division.

Good call RXP

Could happen.

Well, you have two of the best at QB, so why not? But, Brady, Brees might have something to say about that. As long as Payton Manning does not win another SB (which he most likely will), if the Cowboys don't get there, I will pull for the Packers because I really like Rodgers to kick his ***!

Here's the thing, when people say this is a bad division, you realize that includes us too right? Those other teams' fans are licking their chops waiting to play us. We are part of the bad. I don't see us being on a different tier than the rest of the division. I think we're on par with the eagles, and slightly better than the giants/eagles. This defense has regressed since the giants team, they will be tough in NY. The skins will play better at home IMO, that will be a tough game. Both eagles games will be toss ups. Selvie and Wilber holding the edge in the run game is going to be a scary scary sight this weekend.

This team has shown the same inconsistencies of past teams...nothing has changed. When the defense shows up, the offense disappears and vice versa. One week they're in attack mode on offense, the next week they're back to the dink and dunk. You can't hang your hat on any part of this team performing the same way as they did in the previous match up, particularly when the division games are on the road now. Right now I see us finishing 8-8. I hope they get to 9 wins b/c I think that will be enough to sneak into the playoffs but 8-8 is the finish I see. San Diego game was the litmus test for me. They failed it and at the end of the season when they are one game out of the playoffs, they will regret their 2nd half approach to the chargers game and the opportunities lost in the chiefs game. We needed at least one of those winnable games b/c the gauntlet is about to start and the injuries most likely will not stop. I hope I'm wrong but you and I and the rest of us deep down know this team is nowhere close to being consistent enough to go undefeated in the nfc east (they aren't jags bad). the teams in the division know us well (as evidenced by the romo blitzing) and now have a flawed defense to expose.

You guys have made a good case against getting to 10 wins. As I stated we
must win the next 3 to have a run at it.

You must be joking. That's your reasoning for why we'll beat the Saints, because we've done it before? Now THAT is a pathetic explanation. That was 4 years ago.

LOL. With virtually the same key pieces, so ya I know it can be done. The Aints definitely beatable, if you think not, you are mistaken.
