Landry Jones needs to get it together. Right now he's looking like a 3rd tier QB, in a 2nd tier league.
id say 7 of the 8 qbs are not looking good..Cordell jones is only consistent qb in the league and is it a surprise? the NFL starters from 17-32 are 2nd tier and then each team has backups that fall off and some 3rd on the depth chart.. those 3rd on the nfl depth charts are the ones looking to the XFL..its actually good for them they are getting snaps and growing where they normally hold a clip board..they need this work..it will help the nfl down the road when starters are injured..

good QBs are hard to find and the nfl has most of the good-elite ones , not many left..

PJ Walker has 10 TDs in 3 games he's really good too. This league is pretty good football. Way better than the AAF last year or the Arena league for the last 20 years. The best part about this league are that the rule changes make sense and actually make the game faster. PAT's actually matter in game instead of being so automatic and boring. Kickoffs matter in the league instead of being extra commercial breaks in the NFL.

Too bad Cooper Rush isn't over there showing them how to get it done.

Not surprised at the number of fans on this board that were high on him. This fan nailed it but he thought RG3 would be great and so would Jones. Keep in mind the post was from 2011. Shows just how wrong fans can be about QBs.

How did he nail it? Landry wasn't better than RGIII at all much less >>>>>>> better.

It is funny to look at old threads and see how off people can be about the potential of players. Most of the QBs discussed in that 2011 thread didn't amount to much. Luck was the only one mentioned that accomplished anything and even his career ended up be rather disappointing compared to the expectations and the hype. Luck is third in passing yards in his draft class and will probably end up 4th eventually as Tannehill is just under 500 yards behind him.

He nailed it in the sense that Jones became a bust like RG3. The poster thought both Jones and RG3 would be great but they ended up the same...disappointments. You obviously didn’t get what I meant.

mostly running but you missed my point.. I hear the XFL Espn post games reviews and highlights and the QB flat out suck causing boring football...I mean I used facts 16 of 32 NFL teams struggle to find good QBs let lone great or elite.. another league will struggle to keep up with 3rd string NFL or PS NFl QBs playing..

unless the plans to like been debated to grab players tried of the NCAA rules of playing like 3 years or being certain age to enter NFL and like the old USFL go out and make offers to some of these guy's to play a year or two for the XFL before going n to the nfl..

The football hasn't been that boring for the most part. There are maybe 2 or 3 teams with bad QB play so far. Dallas and Los Angeles were without their starters for week one. McGloin, Tampa Bay's QB situation are bad. Seattle's QB Silvers is inconsistent. This league won't be the USFL. At that time the USFL was paying players more than some NFL players. Pretty sure guys like Walker, White, Kelly took pay cuts to play in the NFL after the USFL folded.
