It brought a grimace to my handsome face.
The thought that someone here could think that mah spelling of Jerra is meant to belittle him or his background.
Far from it.
To me, Jerra was a breath of fresh air when he came in and shook off the cobwebs of the franchise, got rid of the deadwood (Tom included) and brought back the derring-do of a once-mighty team and franchise.
Can anybody here name a better owner? In terms of innovation, exhuberance and putting his money where his mouth is?
Can anybody here name an owner with a bigger heart than Jerra? One man's thug is another man's (Jerra's) diamond in the rough who can be turned around.
Jerra is not always right. He's too prone to get in front of the camera. Sometimes angling to be seen and thought of as a "football guy." But those are little things. If I where in his place, I'd want to follow in his footsteps. His marketing skills are unsurpassed and his objective is always -- ALWAYS -- to field the best team as possible with cap constraints.
I will close now. My eyes have teared up and there is a lump in my throat I should have checked out.
Let me close by saying that, if Jerra were Shane I'd be that little guy who chased after him on foot and cried out "Jerra! Jerra, come back! I love you Jerra!"
If Jerra were the Pied Piper I'd follow him, leading all them scorpions out of Plano.
If Jerra were Kane in citizen Kane I'd be diving into that furnace to save his little rocking horse he named Little Bud.
A poll follows. Please take time to give me your assessment of Jerra, who I feel is a future HOFer and No. 1 Cowboy fan in the whole world.
