First of all the man was joking around and playing to a crowd in a press conference. If Terrell went to Tony and said... "hey bud I was messing around and I said x but it was just for giggles and whatever and I'm sorry if it gets taken the wrong way..." that shoulda been the end of it.

If (as stated in TO's retort (see dallascowboys.com mulitmedia) Tony said "Jessica said that .... blah blah", that is Tony's problem not anyone else's.

Tony needs to "Cowboy up" and totally side with his teammate on this issue. He needs to LEAD, and by playing into any media folly shows immaturity on his part. Terrell is a WR, and his rep is well known to be loose lipped... he just can't shy from a spotlight no matter how important the situation, it's his M.O. Whether or not it's right or wrong, he has had an amazing season and we need him and Tony to take the chemistry they have and blow it sky high to get to Glendale.

Tony invited this whole circus with bringing Jessica to the game and dressing her in a pink jersey for the whole world to see, then going out and playing his worst singular game possible.

It's this type of nonsense and immaturity that may end up costing the Cowboys a chance to play for a 6th world championship.

IMO.

Do I think T.O. said what he said in fun? Yes. Everybody who was there claims he was clearly joking. Fine.

Here's what has me a little worried...

His facetious comments to reporters were that Romo was distracted, needs to focus more, and Jessica was the cause of this.

After apologizing, he was given several opportunities to stick up for Romo and make the 180 turn from his "Romo is distracted" comments of the previous day.

He was asked if Romo is focused... his response: "You need to ask Tony."

When asked if Romo is preoccupied, he responded: "I don't know. I can't speak for anybody else."

You're worried because he refused to speak on someone's behalf without knowledge, and told them to ask the source instead?

What is the world coming to?

It's obviously an issue in the locker room with Werder reporting an "unnamed Pro Bowl Cowboy" player approaching Romo about it. But a lot of Cowboy fans on the board will stick there heads in the sand and deny there is anything to it and flame the media for starting the whole mess.

I bet Romo has a great game Saturday night, if his thumb is ok.

Just imagine. Romo actually thinks he's entitled to have a life while he's the QB of the Dallas Cowboys. Now all the other Cowboy players get a life, but not our QB. Guess Aikman needs to have another talk with Romo about how his life will be in Dallas cause Aikman sure went through this same mess.

There are a lot of people who get credit for TO's new found maturity and his play including JJ, Phillips, Garrett & Sherman, but the Cowboy players themselves have been cited saying that Romo should also get a lot of credit for his handling of TO including spending lot of time with him off-field something that neither Garcia nor McNabb were prepared to do. And the first chance TO has, he throws Romo under the bus when in response to TO's original joking comments, he goes on to say the writers should talk to Romo about his focus, etc. Sure hope the rest of the Cowboy players aren't so foolish as to allow their lockerroom to be divided by this matter.

I agree with your comments because I think T.O. is trying to protect his friend. Also, a gossip website is reporting that Jessica and her parents have rented a house so she can be near Romo for the season. I don't know how long the two have been dating, but as a female, I would advise a guy to run if you aren't not 100 percent sure about her.

Let me know when you choose to pull your head out of the sand.

Why wouldn't he "have the knowledge" to answer those questions? He practices with Romo all week and the two are supposedly good buddies.

And a few nights before a game, our #1 WR can't (or won't) say if his QB is focused on football, despite given several opportunities to do so.

Sorry, but that does have me a little concerned. And I think the refusal by some people to make anything of it is merely wishful thinking.

Hopefully a blowout win and multiple T.R. to T.O. TDs Saturday night cures what ails us.

I would hate for this silly episode to be the beginning of the end of the Romo/T.O. friendship. T.O. does have a track record for pissing off QBs and holding grudges.

Maybe he's tired of the backlash and decided to just shut up altogether. I swear the guy is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't!
