He will make you all eat crow this time next year. For real, whats with all the hate on him. Maybe it would be better if the guy just stood on the sidelines like so many of our others do when they get hamstring, quad and other injuries. The guy played hurt and you could see that. He got off to a good start again this year. You don't lose a step during a season, he got hurt. Lay off all the cut Ware nonsense and see what the guy does healthy next year.

Boy I really cannot stand it when a player I am down on makes me eat crow. Especially when the team wins more. That is just not something that I think I can handle.

He battled injuries the last two seadons and disappeared in the 2nd half each of those years. He is on the decline. He isn't getting younger and is making top dollar.

His best years are behind him. I hope he takes a pay cut, otherwise he is not worth the price.

Wanted him gone at the end of last year when he still had value. Didn't eat crow this season. When was his last qb pressure week 3?

Don't want to see him wear a star next season, along with a lot of those core players.

I have a crow casserole recipe that is really good.

Seriously though he's in decline. Nagging injuries. I don't dismiss what he did for the team but I think his best performances are all on tape now.

He is paid to be a premier pass rushing defensive player. His production wasn't more than some of the street free agent defensive players we signed in season. When healthy it appeared his ability to produce at his normal high level had dropped. Add in the fact we had an historically horrible defense and the player we look at to lead our defense disappointed us week after week means large amounts of hate will be directed his way.

No one turn on its players faster that Cowboys fans. Even the ones who are homegrown and loved for most of their careers are hated by the time they leave. Father Time is undefeated. Yes, Ware is slowing down, it should be expected. He is the least of our problems. Them man has been out there and battled through two injury plagued seasons. Let us all not forget the Saints game from 2-3 years ago when he'd gotten hurt the week beforeand was expected to miss the Saints game and how he beasted in that game. Ware although slowing down, will get the benefit of a doubt from me.

I love Ware.
But got to face the truth. He is on the decline. His body is telling him and everyone else that as it continues to break down. Could he have a bounce back year? Sure. But will he be worth $14 million (I think) in 2014? Chances are NO. To be worth $14 million he will need to be the top 1-2 DE in the league.
Unless he takes a pay cut similar to Doug Free I just cannot justify him sticking around. My heart says yes but my brain says no.

I am a fan of Ware.
But all good things must end. He is aging. No one, efan Jack LaLanne and Charles Atlas, cannot stop the march of aging. (If Atlas were alive today, I could kick sand in his face and laugh at him and he probably could not get up to challenge me.)

The endearing thing about Cowboys fans is when we fall for a athlete we fall forever. Then one day he be playing like Brooking and we say, "what that heck? Why he play like Brooking" without realising the affects of aging and diminishing skills.
As we see Ware age, let us honor him but keep in mind that all them peeps in the ROH at one point had to say: "Hey, I am old/out of steam and need to retire."
Dang, I'm good.

I would be fine with it if they cut him and he has success with another team.

It's about probabilities and cost. The probability is that you can get a top YOUNG free agent that will stay healthy for the same or lower cost than Ware.

Ware might be great next season but it's not a good bet due to his huge salary.

He's not going to take a paycut, nor should he. We'll see if this organization has the nuts to release him. That's the right thing to do but i'm sure they'll restructure and running that credit card bill up.

I don't think JPP did all that great this year either and I know that dude is a beast when healthy. Maybe Ware is in that boat, maybe he isn't. I think he will take less money and stay in Dallas....

This is the key. Bruce Smith, arguably the best pure pass rusher of his time, averaged 10-plus sacks a year in his early to mid 30s. Ware is no Bruce Smith but I do not see why he couldn't be a solid pass rusher for three to four more years.

The challenge with Ware is: He is paid to be a premier defensive player and he is not. No pay cut means no Ware as a Cowboy in 2014 unless Jerry has another itchy feeling (or gas) that convinces him that Ware has several more good years left in him and he is worth restructuring again.

I think that the point is it makes you look reactionary and silly. Discredits you as a poster to spout off about things without considering all of the facts.

But if that doesn't matter, than ya....I see your point.

No team is going to pay him $14 million. I'll be shocked if he gets 7-8 million next year. If anything he'll get an incentive laden offer given his recent injuries.
