I disagree.

Callahan is an excellent coordinator. But he's a terrible head coach.

A la Wade Phillips, Norv Turner, Rod Marinelli, Brad Childress, and countless others.

Callahan could be an excellent head coach IF Jerry will butt out and give him the latitude to do things his way. Okay, he won't be a good HC for us.

No. He's exactly the sort of coordinator that Garrett needs -- a strong voice who is zero threat to take over as HC. Kinda like Kiffin in fact.

He wasn't good at Nebraska or Oakland. He was a fish out of water in that role. He took Gruden's team to the Super Bowl, and got beat by Gruden with Dungy's team. Then Callahan went kerplunk.

It's a knee jerk reaction to say Callahan is the next HC just because he's been confirmed by Al Davis, er Jerry, that he'll be the offensive play caller this year.

Lovie maybe, and that would be a blessing. Saban wouldn't come here, no way.

The best option is for Garrett to succeed, and mark my words, this season he will.

No way who was it? I think it was Brown their WR that said Callahan sabotaged their own team or whatever as a HC. Not interested in more BS and drama as it is with Garrett.

Nick Saban ain't turning down THE Dallas Cowboys. I'm sorry I know Bama is a good gig but NFL is still the NFL.

Yes, I agree the best scenario is for Garrett to succeed and be our coach for the next decade....that would be ideal! But I don't think it happens, team is too flawed yet the Super Bowl expectations still remain. That's a bad combo.

Saban would come running here, he would jump at the chance to coach this franchise.
