Honestly, we should all care, as Cowboys fans, as sports fans. Our mainstream coverage is ever-thinning. It doesn't seem like a big deal yet because we can't see the deep rooted effect, but we will. Like it or not, bloggers don't have access to hard news, they have access to rumor and conjecture. There is far more of the latter in "news" reporting these days. Calvin's flight is one of many, and things will get a lot worse before they get better here.

mosley and mcmahon are full time bloggers, that is all they do. They are both at the ranch nearly every day.

Those guys will always get access because they work for big time companies. Its the fan that has a blog that will never get access and never should. The fan blogs disorient how the big blogs are viewed.

I guess you are right because I will never take a "blog" seriously. Blog = pointless ramblings by someone who has no idea what he's talking about. Of course, I'm a text-snob.

Personally, I get annoyed with DMN. As I am not local to Dallas anymore, my coverage of the Cowboys is practically limited to DMN. The national media's Cowboys coverage is very limited compared to local coverage. There are days that the DMN blog has practically zero updates.

If there was more news and less sensationalism then I could give a damn. I love how you use the term 'hard news.' Thats really cute when you consider the work of Lucky and his contemporaries.
