I think Chris Faulk is a really good option for us

Was a very good left tackle for LSU before he tore his ACL. I don't think he actually has the feet for that translate to the NFL, but I really like his chances as a RT. Very big and strong with long arms (6'5 331 with 34" arms). The fact that he chose to come out as a Jr despite missing the entire season is pretty much killing his draft stock. Likely a 5th round pick, maybe 4th if he is able to run well at his pro day, but I love the value there for a guy who would have been a 2nd round pick if he stayed healthy.

Anybody else like him and think he could really challenge to start at RT for us right away if his knee checks out?

Heres a nice encouraging read on his progress and what sounds like good work ethic.

Yes and yes. Mingo was certainly pumping him up FWIW.

I agree he is a talent and has been a pet cat of mine since his injury, he would of been in the mix with Lane Johnson and DJ Fluker IMO. ACL/MCL are really standard issue injuries these days, I just wish he would of taken the time to really get into shape, he still has the Nate Newton build which must make his knees groan every time he stands. Jason is on the hot seat and not sure where a RT that will not start this year can have a place. 4th rd is justified but he has talent that will probably put him in the 3rd out of reach for the boys IMO. Former 1st RD talent injured in early sept of last year but because of past drafts we have to draft this year for instant starters in the first four rounds and possibly hit on three of those picks for fan approval, IMO.

Yes he is a guy I have targeted for us. He will be a good player and I think he might be worth a third rounder. I would love to get him in the fourth though.

Yes.
You'd have to love that value in the 5th or later.

I would be on board with this and if we got him in the 4th I'd be excited.

Why couldn't he start this year? At least at some point I think he can. Not like he's a skill position player that he needs to trust that knee cutting at full speed or anything. I think he could definitely be ready, I mean we are still 4 months away from training camp. Worst case scenario would be PUP list and ready to go by week 6. Biggest concern actually would be his weight and getting in shape.

He does not look like a workout warrior, I think he could start but he would still be a rookie and he really did not play much at all last year so I think it would be asking too much IMO. I want him and he would be a great value anywhere after the third rd.
