If Brian Baldinger and Sterling Sharpe say Bob Sanders and Troy Polamalu are the greatest safeties in the universe, it must be true. Because most 'fans' can't form an opinion on their own, they just parrot whatever eminates from the boob tube.

Sanders dropped an int from Garrard, it took the incompetent play of a bigger, slower, dumber Byron Leftwich (Quentin Gray) for him to come up with a turnover.

Polamalu, not much needs to be said if you've actually watched the guy over the years.... he's a good safety, but he's completely overhyped. I'd take him over Bob Sanders though.

And the Colts defense couldn't have possibly tightened up last year because of the pressure of the playoffs, no.. all credit goes to Bob Sanders.

According to STATS LLC, Wilson was the second "most burned" safety in the NFL last season. He also allowed a 67.2-percent completion rate last season, which was sixth-worst out of the 53 safeties who allowed at least 20 catches.

That's more because of how he's used than how good he is. If you take any good player and move them around and use them in atypical ways, and the offense would have to account for them. And still, Polamalu doesn't make that many big plays.

I don't know about that, it still takes a certain amount of ability but I'm not going to argue the point, he's not a Cowboy so what do I care.

He plays very well but he's not durable. The kinda guy you save for division games and playoffs, not realistic in the NFL however...

Polamalu has a lot of ability -- great speed, great athleticism. But he also doesn't make as many big plays as other elite safeties, and he's not a big hitter or great tackler.

what if it is a man crush on someone from your favorite college team? like for instance, i am a huge longhorns fan, so what if i had a man crush on vince, vasher, roy, ross, etc.......would that make me gay.

I must say i really love AdamJT for exposing these fairweather Cowboy fans who hate on Roy just because hes not making an interception every game. How in the hell can you say you would rather have a player who plays half the year almost every year to a player who has played every game for the Cowboys and puts his body on the line every Sunday moreso than anybody on our defense?

This is why i say Roy bashers disgust me. I dare any of you to name me an elite safety since 2002 who has never missed a game. Only one i can think of is that average #31

I have backed away from my previous statement about trading Sanders for Roy, like I said, I like Roy. What I really want is Sanders AND Roy, but that's obviously never going to happen.
