I think It would be foolish to start Tony Romo next week

I am not a doctor, but a broken finger is pretty serious.

I think they should allow Tony Romo to sit a few more weeks and let his hand heal, so we can make that final push when he gets back.

I don't think they should risk re-injuring his finger at this point in time.

I know we looked horrible, but I think we have to let Tony Romo sit a few more weeks.

Unfortunately, I think Wade Phillips is going to be to desperate and will allow him to play next week.

Thoughts?

Well for me, I was against him playing today and I am still glad he didn't play today.

But I hope he does play next week. And I think he will.

I'd be shocked if Romo wasn't starting next week. And I hope he starts, too.

Yes, it's a risk. But if we sit Romo until he's healed up, he'll be taking over a 4-5 team. We won't win a game with Brad Johnson at QB. I'm convinced of that.

And at 4-5, we'd need to win at least 6 of our last 7 just to have a realistic shot at earning a wildcard spot.

Let Romo start next week and hope for the best... we can't be 4-5 heading into the bye.

We lose next week there may be no push to make.

In a few weeks Tony wouldn't have any reason to come back.

At this point, it makes a world of a difference for him to come in next week. If we continue to have BJ as our QB our season is thrown away anyway.

I think so also RW came back and re-injured his forearm the last thing we need is for Romo pinky to get worse.

I agree with us not winning any game with Brad Johnson at qb. We have to out score teams and that's not going to happen with him. He can't hit open receivers. Combine that with his lack of arm strength and immobility and you get the disaster we saw today against one of the worst teams in the league.

B Johnson was knocked down 15 times today. That's after Romo was knocked down 20 times last week. The O-Line is freakin' scaring me. I know these guys can block. I've seen it. What is going on?

Theres no more save him for later talk, he needs to play if he's able. Later could mean no playoffs this year. If we were to fall to Tampa Bay with or without Romo, I believe it would be close to impossible to comeback from .500 with the this team has been playing.

If Romo can throw the ball, he needs to be in there, or there will be nothing worth coming back for later.

I thought it best to let Romo get healthy, if you could get away with it. The team couldn't get away with it. Truth is, you probably should have started him today. You play your best guys. Everyone is hurt and gets hurt.

But that's with the benefit of hindsight too...

Still, I have almost no doubt that Romo is your starter next week.

Its true, Romo with all his fumbles and interceptions, still gives us a better chance of winning than Brad Johnson. We are just going to have to risk further damage to Romo and send him out there.

Either that, or we put all the faith in Romo that he can bring us back from a 4-5 record, and takes us to the playoffs.
