Raiders have spent in guaranteed contracts this offseason approx 85 Million big ones...Correct me if I'm wrong.

There is no way that the Raiders can stay in the #4 slot and add another
30M guaranteed contract and add in last yrs 30M guarantee to Russell. No way Al can do this.

I say AL and Jerry are going to do a little business on draft day.

Agreed. If JJ trades our 2 #1s to move up and get McFadden I will be so disgusted.

We need to stick w/ WR/CB or RB with our 1's and not be reaching and throwing away our picks on a maybe.

How most of you can say you want to keep out two #1's is amazing to me. Any WR in this draft does not start for the Cowboys this yr, supporting role sure.

Any DB in this draft does not replace Newman or Henry, supporting role as nickel back sure.

Dmac starts from DAY 1, no if's and or but's.

You guys love the Barbarian, so do I...but Barber needs to be the Barbarian to someone elses Homerun threat. Dmac and Barber will be an unbelievable pair and only make things easier for Romo etc.

DB's and WR's that wont be starting is not my idea of WOW. DB's and or a WR in rd 2 will have as much of an impact as those taken in Rd 1. Dmac adds instant impact. Two 1st's and a player such as Spears does not kill us at all. I mention Spears because he does have some worth but we can do without him.

Depth wins championships, not WOW. WOW only gets ratings. What happens in 2009 and 2010 when we have old and/or poor quality cornerbacks? And what about our receiving corps once TO leaves?

You're not looking at the big picture. Instant gratification is not what keeps a franchise competitive.

I think that the PacMan deal replaces the idea of us taking a CB in the 1st round. If the Bengals are just puffing smoke and hypothetically decides to trade Chad Johnson to the Cowboys, I can see Jerry forking up those two first rounders for McFadden and possibly picking up a CB or WR in the second. I don't want it to happen, but I am just trying to justify the reason behind the probability of Jerry's madness. JMHO

Even with PacMan, I don't think it should sway JJ's draft plans. I'm hoping we keep both 1st rounders, but I am wondering how much more room the Raiders have under the cap. They may want to trade out of their pick to pick up additional draft picks and save some cash.

I do not believe that JJ will make this trade. But we could stay put and draft WR/CB or RB and they could still be bust. Just cheaper. I would be disgusted to but thats because I'm not very high on Mac. I also dont buy into people saying "well JJ has said we wont make this trade so there is no reason to believe we will." LOL!! That makes no sence at all. Why would he say it if he was?
