Hey guys, I was checking out Mick's Mail in the daily zone and in one of his articles he said that if the Boyz lose to the Giants, that we would technically be in 2nd place.

This cant be right, I think Spags made a mistake. Last time I checked, these were the tie-breakers.

1. head to head
2. Division record
3. Conference record
4. Points scored
5. Coin flip

1. even.....we split with the gnats.
2. even.....we would each have 1 division loss, to each other.
3. This is where Dallas is ahead.

We lost to the Pats and the g-men, that is only 1 conference loss. The Giants have lost to Green Bay and Dallas, that is 2 conference losses.

1 conference loss >>>>> 2 conference loss.

DALLAS WOULD WIN THE TIE-BREAK BY HAVING A BETTER CONFERENCE RECORD.

DID I MISS SOMETHING HERE, OR DID SPAGS NOT BOTHER "TO DO THE MATH".:laugh2:

You're right. If we lose, and then both teams win out, we'd hold the tiebreaker because of conference record.

He probably said that because I believe they would be 3-1 in the division if they beat us .

RIGHT after the game, we'd TECHNICALLY be in 2nd place in the division.

They'd be 3-1 in the division, and we'd be 2-1 in the division. Mere technicality, nothing to worry about.

Exactly.

If we lost tomorrow, then both teams won out the rest of the way, the division is ours due to a better conference record.
