My friend is a close pal to Jerry, and its being said by thursday it should be announced that Jerry is trading Barber, and our second round pick, for Ricky Williams.

And then he is trading Newman, along with our 1st and 3rd, and next years first...for Ken Lucas and Dawayne Jarret

Actually, NO.. he never has offically retired.. heard him on sirius last year during the season.. said he was still in playing shape and might return one day if the right opportunity came along.. but that he never did retire.

Man....I have heard so many people exaggerate what has been said by our coaches.

I never ONCE heard a coach compare Stanback to TO.

All that was said by Wade was, "he's getting harder to cover in practice."
That little statement has spawned: "Stanback's UNCOVERABLE", "Stanback's the next TO", "Stanback is our next great WR".

Believe me....I want Stanback to be our next great player. But let's not put words in our coaches' mouths.

If someone did actually say that, I'd love to see the link.

It's clear Stanback comments have been blown out of proportion, but I think this WOW comment by Jerry has been blown out of proportion too.

The man is building a very expensive stadium with very expensive seats. He's doing all he can to continue to sell tickets and build fan support for the Cowboys.

He says he wants a WOW player every year, and every year people continue to wonder who it is. The Cowboys conduct their offseason plans the best they can with regards to the market, the cap, free agents available, free agents to lose and the draft.

They sort out which move was the WOW move in hindsight and everyone falls in line. The man is a businessman and he's just conducting business. Odds are we won't know who our WOW player will be until at least Thanksgiving.

WOW now doesn't matter. WOW in the playoffs does. Let's wait until then to figure out the ever elusive WOW player.

In defense of the Zone, I think it is only a small but vocal group of self-appointed "experts" who live to roll their eyes and post the "repost" icon.

These people just wanna be seen as poobahs who have football sense when, in fact, they just take up space with their noncomments and could just ignore these posts they so dislike.

yes. you will have people tired of it and making fun of it in their own terms
yes. you will have people say "chill out - it's what we do in a forum"
and then yes, you'll have people that say the horse is dead is what *we* do in the forums also.
