I think there is still playoff hope

Exactly. You have to be one extreme - the glass is half full types - to see any hope left in this season. The 49ers are in the 7th and last playoff spot and have 9 wins now, with 5 left to play. The most Dallas can get now is 10 and thats with winning out. The 2 teams in between us and them - the Lions and Panthers, have more wins and have each beaten us this year. Thats a very dismal looking playoff picture.
As far as Philly falling apart and giving us the division, we did that before, REMEMBER - two years ago. They were gifted the #2 seed and an opening round home playoff game against the #7 seed and didn't even bother to show up for that game.
Who the hell wants to see that again? Totally exhausted by this team giving us hope, then not even showing up and fighting at least. Decembers games will be much more enjoyable now without the BS hope attached to them. Season over.
what are you kidding? they'll be worthless, not enjoyable.

They are not eliminated yet so yes they have an outside chance. But after last night, I wonder if they can beat the Vikings or the Chargers.

The best thing for this franchise is to lose out and improve our draft position. Finishing with 9 or 10 wins has us picking between 16 and 18 where blue chippers are off the board and you have to rely on luck to get a difference maker.

ATP wins are only serving the short term dopamine hits that Jerry uses to trick fans.

Right now Dallas is a better team than Philly. They should beat the chargers and commodes. Match ups also matter. Philly comes into Mondays game circling the drain, limping. Without their best player on defense. Secondary is almost as bad as ours. I feel confident they will lose 3 games out of the next 5. We just better handle our business from now on.

Philly has Buffalo and a Commanders team twice that looked really good against a top Denver team last week.
There’s still a chance.
So the Washington team might well look "really good" when Philly has to play them twice, but will not look "really good" when Dallas plays them on the road on Christmas?

Last night was our chance....we were rolling, the Lions hadn't been playing well in weeks, they were missing 4-5 guys on the backend of their D, LaPorta was out and St Brown wasn't 100%....

But we'll look extremely good against Minnesota, NY and Was to get us hyped for next year.

Had they won last night, I would be bullish on the Cowboys winning out with that momentum.

However, I fear this loss will deflate the team, and think that 2-2 to close out an 8-8-1 campaign is much more likely.
Ahh mediocrity...the Garrett special.

yeah after all this crap we could wind up in the playoffs, if the eagles totally collapse and we win out.

then what?
Then we do what we always do, build up a bunch of hype then lay an ego with a no-show performance….lots of penalties, turnovers, poor coaching decisions….and get embarrassed.
At least we won’t be getting embarrassed again in the playoffs by SF, GB, or Philly this year.

It’s over. The fat lady has sung.

Even in the wild, remote chance this team sneaks into the playoffs….it would just be another “big game” for them to roll over in. Thirty years of waiting, and I’m still looking for this team to show up when it actually matters.

At this point, I’m more concerned about what happens in the offseason (like please fire Eberflus) than I am about any playoff hopes.

Best hope is a Philly collapse. We've seen it before. Too many teams gunning for the Wild Card. But I don't want this to be one of those years again where we pop in by default. If this team had what it takes to win the Super Bowl they would have sealed off the trifecta last night with Philly, KC and Detroit.

I know I’m gonna get ripped and I’m sure I’ll hear “So what if we make the playoffs. We won’t win a game” but…
Philly plays a tough cross country road game Monday night against a good team. If they lose Dallas is 1.5 games back with 4 left and a pretty easy schedule. Philly has Buffalo and a Commanders team twice that looked really good against a top Denver team last week.
There’s still a chance.
Fandom hacks the same reward circuits as religion and family loyalty. Once the jersey is on, objectivity isn’t just difficult—it feels like betrayal. That’s why a grown adult will cry over a game, riot over an election result, or die on the hill that their favorite billionaire is secretly saving the world. Same brain, different colored flag.

You know the Cowboys have to play that same Chargers team and that same Commanders team that almost beat Denver.

Thinking the Cowboys are going to go 4-0 after just getting a 40 burger dropped on their arses is very naive thinking.

Now I am not saying Philly is not going to lose some games, they very possibly will, but the problem is Dallas has a very good chance to drop at least another 1 or 2 games as well. See, it does no good for the Eagles to collapse if the Cowboys are going to lose games as well.
EberFluff's scheme sucks..

It's much funnier *without* the line.
We know what he's thinking!

It's hard in this league to win 1 game, let alone 4 in a row. Last night was inevitable. Now it's time for a new winning streak.

On to the draft
