I think this team could finish 10-6

This head coach and for as many bone headed plays that our QB makes before and after the snap I truly believe that this team could still finish 10-6 and get into the playoffs. I can't believe I am actually saying this after watching this team for the past 3 seasons but I honestly do think its possible. 5 reasons why, with ifs.....

1. Garrett is finally and truly a walk around head coach. The guy maybe Princeton smart but has no common sense and hopefully he will not cost this team 2 wins this season as he has averaged in years past.
2. The running game. This is a very good offensive line and if this new OC CAN ACTUALLY STICK TO RUNNING THE FOOTBALL we will own time of possession and keep our weakest links on the sideline and refreshed. The defense should be rested IF we run the ball.
3. IF the coaching staff could somehow tame Tony Romo and not allow him to audible that will give us 2 wins right there.
4. We actually have a very weak schedule. Saints and Seahawks are pretty much guaranteed losses but past that the only other teams I see we may lose to are the Bears, Colts, Cardinals and a division game or two. Not saying we will lose all those games just giving some insight as to our other 4-5 losses.

I hear ya but they have to get out of their own way first. Schedule is not as hard as some say it is and the NFC East is really weak this year. We could sneak into the playoffs with a 9-7 record.

I've never been one of those fans who has to convince himself the team can contend in order to remain interested.

This team sucks. The arrow is pointing down not up. They are woefully mismanaged and a radical change needs to happen before they'll ever contend again.

The "audible" to pass play was not the reason for the loss. It turned a possible 7 points into 3 points.

The fumble for a TD and the 3 INTs are the reason they lost the game.

This is a must win today!!! We go 0-2 heading into a stretch that included the rams..(granted you can almost pencil that in as a win),saints,texans and seahawks,we are in serious trouble!!It would be nice to gather some momentum going into those games!!!!

I said before, this schedule isn't as hard as it first seemed. What is more rough is the layout of it, more than the opponents.

We went 5-1 in the division last year and there is no reason why they can't do it again. But even if they are 4-2, and win the games they are supposed to win. Titans, Rams, Jags, Texans.
There are 8 wins right here. I'll say the Cards and even the Colts are winnable games since they are at home [well, supposed to be home field advantage], that can be 10 wins right there.

Now we know things do not go that way in the NFL, and for this team. But for some of the reasons listed in the OP, maybe that changes this year.
So 10-6, or if they go 5-1 in the division, 11-5 is doable. Will, they or not, we will just have to wait and see.

That's more a factor of a terrible division and the topsy-turvy nature of today's NFL than our being a well-coached, well-run organization, though.

I have already stated that if we can go 5-1 in the division we will go 10-6, if 4-2, 9-7. The Garrett comment is overblown but, eh, who cares anymore. People are already settled on that issue one way or the other.

I'm more optimistic about this season now than I was before Week 1.

Our OL is the real deal and the D looked decent instead of horrendous. We'll have a good team once Romo starts playing like Romo again (today).

I just feel bad for the Jerry/Garrett haters because there won't be anywhere for them to run. Just kidding. Will McClay, Rod Marinelli, and maybe Scott Linehan will get the credit. Guaranteed.
