I've never been one of those fans who has to convince himself the team can contend in order to remain interested.

This team sucks. The arrow is pointing down not up. They are woefully mismanaged and a radical change needs to happen before they'll ever contend again.

Having said that, Go Cowboys.

This head coach and for as many bone headed plays that our QB makes before and after the snap I truly believe that this team could still finish 10-6 and get into the playoffs. I can't believe I am actually saying this after watching this team for the past 3 seasons but I honestly do think its possible. 5 reasons why, with ifs.....

1. Garrett is finally and truly a walk around head coach. The guy maybe Princeton smart but has no common sense and hopefully he will not cost this team 2 wins this season as he has averaged in years past.
2. The running game. This is a very good offensive line and if this new OC CAN ACTUALLY STICK TO RUNNING THE FOOTBALL we will own time of possession and keep our weakest links on the sideline and refreshed. The defense should be rested IF we run the ball.
3. IF the coaching staff could somehow tame Tony Romo and not allow him to audible that will give us 2 wins right there.
4. We actually have a very weak schedule. Saints and Seahawks are pretty much guaranteed losses but past that the only other teams I see we may lose to are the Bears, Colts, Cardinals and a division game or two. Not saying we will lose all those games just giving some insight as to our other 4-5 losses.

I will paypal you 5 dollars if the Cowboys go 10-6...you are really optimistic.

I look at this where the games are won more often than not; the trenches.

If our lines continue to get push on both sides we should be able to win more than 8.

We can't get pest 8-8 the last 3 season. You could argue that we could have finished 8-8 if Garrett was coach when Wade got fired.

So, now, after all this. We are going 6-10?

I have already stated that if we can go 5-1 in the division we will go 10-6, if 4-2, 9-7. The Garrett comment is overblown but, eh, who cares anymore. People are already settled on that issue one way or the other.

when a team like the cowboys defies its fans. remember last year, and continues to suck, obviously you dont remember last year, than yes, some fans are not going to be impressed, nor is one good game going to impress us. It might impress you, but for the rest of us, remember which poster told you the Cowboys were going to lose against Philly, yes, who cares because Dallas will prove certain fans right, and other fans post that i quoted.

The Rams, Giants (twice), Commanders (twice), and Jaguars are the remaining games on the schedule Dallas should be favored in. They'll need to pull off around three upsets to get to 10-6. But I like the positive thinking. It's refreshing.

I am happy with the direction of the team.
However, we need to improve the front 7 this off season, and we need to find the next great TE.

Until I see Romo look like Romo and lead a dynamic offense, I'm thinking 7-9, maybe 8-8 this season. If the Titans had stopped the run game, I don't believe Tony and crew could have won this game.

I think we improved our OL and found some inexpensive defensive value this year, but I'll be satisfied with 8-8 this year considering our front 7 on Defense.

I think after seeing what happened today there's several games that have changed some. Washington games could be much different with RG3 possibly being down for the year. Eli still looks terrible. And there's still the Rams and Jags on our schedule. I think the Bears might have a worse defense then ours. The Cardinals have a very good defense and I'm betting not much offense. And Houston is still an unknown to me. I think they have a good defense, but who knows about their offense. The Texans first real test might be us, maybe Buffalo if they are for real.

Rams, Giants and Jauguars probably. Commanders? At home yes. I think Cousins can get it done for them.

I think the arrow can't point but up. Look how young this team is. Young players aren't looking like Doomsday Defense in their first or second year. I believe this defense finishes top 15 this year and add more pieces next year and Crack top 10.

right now I don't think Romo could get you past the better teams. Dallas would need running & passing game to be clicking for most of year to go 10-6.
