I think this team could finish 10-6

right now I don't think Romo could get you past the better teams. Dallas would need running & passing game to be clicking for most of year to go 10-6.

Exactly. We can't beat the Saints in a shoot out. I expect a win vs the Rams and then a 31-21 type loss vs the Saints. Only good news is we'll be in man since Brees can't run but if we can't stop Delanie Walker what's Graham gonna do?!

I've never been one of those fans who has to convince himself the team can contend in order to remain interested.

This team sucks. The arrow is pointing down not up. They are woefully mismanaged and a radical change needs to happen before they'll ever contend again.

Having said that, Go Cowboys.

Now, I agree we are flawed and our overall talent level is pretty low, but key talent is not and we are young. Another draft and some development of the Coleman's and Bishop's of the world and we will be in good shape.

8-8 is not good I agree, but I'm tired of hearing how the Cowboys are the worst team in the NFL when clearly they are not, despite other team's having several years to draft higher than Dallas and with "better" coaches.

I'd love to see Garrett gone personally, but if he turns it around then he deserves to build on the program which at minimum is seen in overall effort and passion to play on Sundays.

Anyone that can get Rolando McClain to his commensurate talent level can't be that horrific of a coach in total. The man DIDN'T want to play for the defending world champion Ravens, but he does love being a Cowboy. That's a feather in Red's pretty barren cap thus far.

Never forget the Saban-Garrett connection

I don't think the talent will hold up for us to go 10 and 6. Romo looks off, and especially given that he's coming off a second back surgery, I don't really see him improving. Our guys on defense are punching in above their weight for now, but we'll really see what they're made of as the season goes on. The lack of talent eventually shows up as the season progresses when guys can't play above their weight due to hard work/effort and excess energy.

I think the arrow can't point but up. Look how young this team is. Young players aren't looking like Doomsday Defense in their first or second year. I believe this defense finishes top 15 this year and add more pieces next year and Crack top 10.

3 reasons our defense finishes in the top 15
1. Our offensive line
2. The OC sticks to running the ball
3. Rolando McClain

I think they will game plan to stop Graham and then I wouldn't mind seeing Scandrick locked up on Cooks if available. Who knows they may even put Scandrick on Graham and roll the dice with Cooks but either way I would think we plan on doubling Graham.

Let's cross our fingers and hope the team starts playing consistent football before we start thinking about 10-6 seasons.

This team will get told how good they are all week and then there is no telling what we will see from them.

4. Young players develop and get better.
5. Spencer and DLaw healthy.
6. No injuries

Shall I continue. This defense isn't as bad as people think, let me guess the offense made that goal line stand yesterday

Romo already improved a lot from Week 1 to Week 2. He played quite well yesterday. I rewatched the game and saw maybe 3 clunker type passes, which is actually right around normal for him making 30 throws. He zipped in quite a few passes also, including some key 3rd down conversions. His decision making and field vision was much closer to optimum form as well.

Our defense will likely get better as we get Scandy and Spence back. The D looks quick to the ball and are tackling well (except Mo haha).

I'm encouraged

Not even being sarcastic here.

Romo is good for two losses.
Garrett is good for two losses.

The Garrett/Romo combo is good for two losses.

What are we talking about here. We win the other 10 games just because "we are a great team"??

I can't disagree with this, sadly.

Yes, sadly.
