what's wrong with adding some water to the well in terms of other games helping us along towards securing homefield though? didn't you root AGAINST the niners back in the 90's? I know I did! I didn't care if it was the Skins or even the Giants...I just knew I wanted the Niners to lose back then cuz they posed as our biggest threat to the ultimate goal. Feeling the same way now about the Seahawks...from here on out I will be for any team playing them...which of course doesn't preclude me from hoping we make it a non-issue on our end.
I want the Eagles to lose because I hate them. Dont harbor the same ill will towards Seattle.

I obviously want home field advantage as well but it's not like the Cowboys don't play well on the road if push came to shove.

You don't want to go to Seattle with a rookie QB and have to play them in the playoffs. That's too much to ask even for Dak.

The Eagles have to win out and us lose at least 3 out of 6 remaining games for us to even be tied with them. I have confidence that won't happen so I'll root for the Eagles because as the OP said Seattle is a threat for #1 seed.
Every Seattle loss increases our chances (probability) of us going to the SB as NFC champs...not hard to understand that!?! Do I know that FOR SURE??! No...but only a dimwit ignores things like statistical probabilities...intelligence is often evidenced by those who can take a nuanced view.

As you point out, the Eagles have a MUCH LOWER probability of being an issue for us than Seattle...so the choice is obvious.

It's already huge to ask a 1st year player to get you to the Super Bowl. 6 in one half a dozen in the other to me.

Last time we had home field advantage, we were one and done
that settles it...let's tank so we avoid the same foolish fate as before...C'MON BRAH!?!

And how many times were we the #1 seed previously and win the SB?

Of course it is but it's just making the probability of winning even lower having to go to Seattle the loudest crowd in the NFL you can't even hear your snap counts.

Then you must have not been to a game in Seattle then...there fans are the lamest I've ever seen (been their 5 times)...they have ZERO football knowledge. Although I must say the stadium experience is amazing...

For Eagles to win the division:
We go 3-3 in the last 6 they still have to go 7-0 just to tie us then it would still come down to tiebreakers I'm not sure who would get the tiebreaker. To win the division outright they have to go 7-0 and we go 2-4 or worse.

For Seattle to catch us for #1 seed:
We have to lose at least 2 games and they win out the best they can do is 13-2-1 if we lose once we'd still be 14-2. A loss here we'd have to lose at least 3 games for them to catch us. Then only the Giants can catch us with 2 additional losses nobody can catch us with one additional loss.

I hope it's a tie

Exactly. Too much to hope for, really... when's the last time a team had two ties in a season?... but would be the much preferred option.

Failing that, I just want to see Russell Wilson have a crappy game.
