I made a post but thought i might get in trouble for being off topic so started this instead.:D

anyway

This is the way I look at it.

The eagles have been a thorn in our *** for years. Throwing batteries, setting bounties. Cheering when Michael Irvin got hurt. Hiring a dog murderer and torturer. Beating us 44-6 last year. Puke northeastern obnoxious fans.

It's time all things were set right.

I think we should root to play these *******s two weeks in a row. I firmly believe we are the better team due to mcscabb vs. Romo.

One way to erase all of that is to beat these wankers back to back. A season THREE SWEEP that takes the NFC East AND knocks them out of the playoffs.

I want it BAD baby!!!!!

And if we can pull that off, can you imagine the confidence that would give the players? A run at the SB would be straight up ours(imo).

You have a point. Don't forget the pickle juice game with the onside kick that they recovered to start the game.

All of it needs payback, in a big way.

As Hostile pointed out in another thread, we have never beaten them three times in a year. Doing so for the first time, while just burying the skins, and as an added bonus sending the Giants to their offseason would be gravy.

I would love it if we beat the hated Eagles three times in the same year. I would dearly love it. Imagine all the mediots scrambling to find a storyline about how the Eagles were robbed or something. Even if it wasn't so. They won't support the Cowboys, they are all totally in love with the Eagles.

I'd absolutely love it.

But. It would be a very, very hard thing to accomplish. And if we did, if that comes to pass, I think you are right: That right of passage would give wind enough to our players and coaching staff to make it to the Super Bowl.

I guess it's like Aragorn in Lord of the Rings (one of them), when he had a choice of whether or not to go in to a cave of dead spirits and either die or succeed, and of course he did succeed.

Face the grimmest and survive, or fail at trying.

What's the old saying? Oh yeah: No guts, no glory.

Glory days are here again in Big D. Mark my words. Whatever path we end up on.

I think we match up very favorably against Philadelphia assuming two things:

1) The offensive line, particularly the interior, is able to pick up the bltiz and;

2) Romo sees the field clearly -- ie., like how he has been doing the last few weeks.

Defensively, I like how we match up. We have quality corners, safeties that aren't getting torched deep and edge rushers that get to McNabb. Plus a salty run defense.

Yeah I'm with you guys. Plus I'm thinking I'd rather face Mcnabb than Farve or Rodgers. McNabb has that history of puking in big games. :D

My brother is an eagles fan...we were born in Texas but moved to philly when he was still young so he became an eagles fan. He's just like the rest of them...always an excuse as to why we beat them, always obnoxious. There won't be any excuses if we beat them three in a row.:)

I know it seems greedy but if we're going to the SB I want to go in style. :D

Plus, reading all these threads with everyone wringing their hands about the possibility of playing the eagles back to back is making me sick to my stomach. They are nothing to fear, imo.

I work with a few Eagles fans. They really do know how to get your blood boiling at times. I think the thing that gives me a big grin on my face at the end of their run is the fact they just can't hack it lol. Better yet, watching them lose always makes me feel warm inside.

I heard something today, but missed part of it. I haven't looked to verify it yet.
Eagles' Center, is out with a knee injury. An inexperienced C wil be playing. Ratliff will eat him alive. And if the double team him. It frees up someone else.

I'm looking for McSlabb [because he will be on one] to be sacked 5 to 7 times.

It's exactly like Aragorn in the Lord of the Rings. I'm all for it. Also, how many Nazgul do you think it would take to kill a Balrog? I'm going to say 5.
