to know that the last 20 years or so

Are much different than previous 20 years or so.

Cowboys teams have lost in the former due to coaching
Atlanta - same
Green Bay should probably have another super bowl win - pick it Favre era/Rodgers era
Seattle most recently

Which other teams?

I dunno I'd take Green Bay, Atlanta or Seattle's coaching over ours any day. Seattle has been to 2 SB's recently, Atlanta's coach has them in the SB after only 2 years of being their coach, GB, nothing wrong with McCarthy...all have been to conference championship games and super bowl appearance's, we've done squat for 21 years...21 years of futility under Jones ownership.

we are there and will be in the play off picture for the near future
Hey man, is that Colombian? Pass it around. At this moment I would say another playoff trip is not going to happen next year. The Offense will take a step back until we solve the RT, another TE or two, and have a second back up QB. These issues will not be that bad. The real problem is the defense until we fix the middle of the DL as a great pass rushing threat. I see a retooling of the defense if a Super Bowl run is in our future.

Yeah I hear ya but...

Yesterday McCarthy really looked foolish.
No attempt at running game. It looked like Rodgers Jedi mind tricked him with, "you will not run this game, Aaron will throw us to victory "

McCarthy was not one of the coaches I was referring to.

Carrol appears to be really good. Not sure if he hasn't regressed to his New England days. Again wasn't really referring to him. But he lost that super bowl.

Quinn looks awesome. Great job. Faster process and all. Let's see super bowl. Not referring to him either.

Denver probably left 2 SB wins on table in last 10 years.
Chargers... well... I don't know what to say there.... bad coaching carousel.

In last 25 years the Cowboys left at least 3 super bowl appearances out there... for some other team.

"Coaching" is blamed too often when it's really just a player, or players, failing to execute properly. Jacoby Jones catching a bomb with less than 20 seconds left to tie the Broncos, eventually leading to the Ravens winning the SB comes to mind. Denver was in a two deep defense but the secondary let him get behind them.

Mike Tomlin gets outcoached by Belichik. The Steelers appear to keep trying to defend Brady the same way and it never works.

I've seen enough Patriot games to know that coaching matters.

Brady's awesome, but so was Peyton Manning, and so is Aaron Rodgers. Neither of them has even remotely approached Brady's playoff accomplishments. They don't even equal his playoff accomplishments combined.

Coaching matters.

It's a QB and Coaching league. I've been saying that for years. You don't need the perfect team to win and it should never take forever to win if you're getting elite QB play like we have had.

With that said....

Garrett is going nowhere and all things considered he did a great job this past regular season.

I'm not a Garrett fan but Jerry will never get rid of him. He was an ego hire for Jerry and Jerry has always put his ego ahead of the team.

I admire some things about Jason Garrett and how he has the team focused but schematically we always fall short but fortunately we have built a machine ground game that can overcome a lot of our weak areas.

I was proud of our defense this year but they did something they haven't done all year and that's put us in a hole before our offense ever got going.

Allow 21 points + Refs defending your offense and you can stop the Cowboys.

heere man its good ****! got there this year with these guys and a rookie QB
we'll have a replacement guard [collins] and two TE's back in play Hanna and Swaim
Tapper will see,JSmith is hopeful
We are in the discussion regardless and I think much more then that

I think you need a OC who puts the team over his philosophy, i.e. don't pass on less than 2 yds, unless a team has shown they can stomp you, or are playing the run so hard that a 3yd pass to Witten or Bease is cake.

Don't revert to your old bend but don't break you started the season with when you've had awesome success attacking teams.......Rod......and then go back on the attack when it's too late....

Lastly you need a HC who can rip the OC/DC a new one when they try stupid ....!

Reclamation projects always work in NE for pennies on the dollar
Steady draft hands
Dealing players before its too late
all of these are NE principles and a sign of good coaching and front office

Reclamation projects work in NE because they have Belichick and Brady. The more you really look into the "Patriot way", that's all it is. I 100% guarantee when the Emperor leaves they will go back to battling to make the playoffs every year like the rest of us.

seattle has good coaching, so i wouldnt count them.
Yep throw the ball at the goal line instead of running it with Lynch that ended up losing the superbowl. Pete tried to get to cute and had Garrett done the same thing yall would have crucified him

When a guy accomplishes what Pete Carroll has, he gets a pass. Jason Garrett has one playoff win in 7 years, so, no, he doesn't get a pass and shouldn't.
