To add to your credibility remind everyone your prediction about the Cowboys before the season.
Go Cowboys!
I'll put my record over the years up against yours any day.

Yep. The problem is Dak as a rookie was too good, too fast, and this team likely overachieved and won way more games with a rookie QB and a suspect defense than it should have, and now some have completely irrational expectations of him and the team, this season. It seems a lot of people are talking like it's this season or bust. I know we've waited a long time but a failed SB season would not be a bust. I'd feel better about this season than I did in 2007. Now that season was a bust.
a "major overhaul on defense" is a bit dramatic unless you expect blue chip players at every position. A few additions to the talent we already have on defense would go a long way. Good thing tho you're not a Browns or Jets fan......you'd be a peach on their fan board! lol
11-2.....you can't take that away from this talent laden squad.

Some folks need to relax a bit and look at the bigger picture and know it doesn't end with this year. It's just beginning.
Can you imagine what would have been said of that 1991 team that got blasted by Detroit in the playoffs if the internet was around back them? Nobody knew we were on the verge of something very special.
Many of us saw this coming from a mile away. There is going to be a demographic of this fanbase that will always hate Dak because he essentially lead to Tony unceremoniously being pushed aside. Combine that with the fans that randomly hate every QB we have after a loss and it starts to grow old.The Irony is the Dak/Tony debate has been fueled off the strength of what Dak has accomplished. Dak put us in an unbelievable position only to want to bench him for the guy who potentially sabotaged the season (although no fault of his own).
I see a few as 3 or 4 so upgrading approx 25-35% of the defensive starters is not minor tweaking. However, your account reads as we need whole sale, across the board changes. From reading your posts throughout the season, I can't figure out what, if anything, you like about this team.If you think this defense merely needs some minor tweaking to get it where we should all want it then there's nothing left to say. Have fun watching and not understanding the games.
Agreed. This defense needs a lot more than what a few tweaks and a single draft will be able to provide. If you think this defense merely needs some minor tweaking to get it where we should all want it then there's nothing left to say. Have fun watching and not understanding the games.
IMO, I tend to agree that we need more than just 1-2 players on defense. I believe that we need at least 2 more DEs, 1-2 LBs, 1CB, and an upgrade at safety. If you think this defense merely needs some minor tweaking to get it where we should all want it then there's nothing left to say. We could get away with less, but if we are talking top notch defenses we need those upgrades. When I say top notch, I'm talking smoke and mirror defenses either.
I was being conservative.Yeah, not a major overhaul to have a defense you can win with as long as the offense leads you but an overhaul to have a quality defense for the first time in forever. I'd say at the minimum half the starters need to be replaced. I'd go more than that.

I wonder what our record would be with the other back up that went down, or even Sanchez under center. We'd more than likely have the record they all covet so much of4 and nine right now.Yep. Is this team really that "talent laden" when everyone acknowledges they need a major overhaul on defense?
Seems like the talent is a little overrated. I'd give the coaching staff a lot of credit for getting this very, very flawed team to 11-2.
Why would we expect any coach, including Belichick, to take over this team with a 4th round rookie QB and do any better than that? Because we're so "talent laden"?

Cowboys fans always overrate the talent level of the team. Some were even doing it last year. They're 11-2, but a real coach™ would be undefeated I guess.
I NEVER had the impression that it was "a pretty good Giants team" we lost to.
Eli has been horrific all season. If you think we beat players up in Game Day threads here you should read what they say about Eli. It's brutal.
But more than that we could've and should've put them in their grave by the end of the first half and it didn't happen. We didn't play well and their defense did enough to win but they are clearly the benefactor of an easy schedule and now they get Detroit with a banged up Stafford.
I'd love to play them again - we'll crush them.
