First, I had the first two picks nailed. I Didn't want to bump that thread cause rounds 3-7 sucked lol. With that being said, I've already ordered my EE jersies. Plural, my 23 and 9 year old boys wanted them also. EE will return what we lost with DM and bring back what we havent had since Emmitt.
Jalen is where I hope more than I've ever hoped before for one player to fully recover. If he does, this will go down as a great and significant draft that helped move our team forward. He's as good as they get, from any position. IE, Tyron, Fred, and Martin. He could be an all time great if that little stinkin nerve grows back.
Dak, has the tools. Does he have the desire to get better and grow? He needs to change some mechanics and tweak some movements, and if he allows them to change him, watch out!!!
I don't know much about the other guys. Gonna research tomorrow. I think the TE is a freak athlete, and IF he panned out in a couple years, I'd love it.
That's what I love. The hard part for me is the trust. For 20 years we haven't drafted good at all. The proof is in the pudding. You guys who say, "we can't build through FA, we must build through the draft" are completely correct, to a degree. Your philosophy is backed up by 20 years of complete failure. Our drafts have brought in a few great guys. The best guys. But anyone can hit on the first round greatness. What do we do in rounds 2-7? And, this year, we have to do that again??? We hope!!! We have trust that a few, or even a couple of all these projects, ideas, and sometimes downright head scratchers will pan out!!! Perhaps, even help us win something important. The issue is again trusting in a group of guys to turn around, or build a project into something good.
This was a fun weekend. Once again, much to JJ's likings, we are right smack "DAB" in the middle of the spotlight!
