The Chargers secondary is weak. The Chargers run defense is strong. If we want to win this game we need to attack their weakness...and that means throwing the ball all over the place.

If we can protect Bledsoe and our passing game can get into a nice rhythm we should be able to score pretty easily. All we have to do then is contain Tomlinson and put a little pressure on Brees and we win the game.

I just want us to spread the field a little bit this Sunday. I know Julius is going to be a major component, but this Sunday Bledsoe is going to win or lose the game for us.

I have a feeling that, as long as we protect Bledsoe, we are going to win big this Sunday.

I agree that we need to attack their corners, but I think BP's plan will be to establish the running game and make them pay for defending that with the occasional strike downfield. If nothing else we can at least count on getting a pass interference call or two on Jammer

If we don't have a good passing game going Sunday, JJ is going to be lucky to get his 100 yds. with their D keying on him the entire game.

A decent passing game is a MUST against SD.

It all comes down to the O-line. Give Bledsoe time and he will tear your secondary apart. I believe the play of the O-line will be the key to a successful season. and with 3 Pro Bowlers on it it should be good to go.

I agree; run Julius until they stop him and if/when they do that then hit them with a 50 yard strike to Glenn for the TD. They will back off to protect against that and Julius will cut loose again. If we do this right we should have them by the short hairs no matter how they play us.

I would like to see the ball control offence, alot 3 WRs sets which could open up the underneith stuff, then hit Terry Long. JJ 125 yds rushing.

Keep the DL fesh w/ the rotation. I want to see the D as fresh in the 4th quarter as they were in the first.

That's why they call it human chess. The best way to win is to keep them on their heels and vulnerable as opposed to on the balls of their feet and ready.

i think we will have to pass alot to win. you are not gonna run the ball down sd's throat. too good of a run defense, but the pass d is weak. go after that weakness and jj will get his in the 4th when we are ahead

I agree and I have 1 more request. After what I saw in the Pre Season I do not want to see 1 screen pass. This team can not excute a screen pass to save their lives. So lets aviod the 2-15 type of downs from a blown up screen play.

Rivera was out for most of the preseason and with revolving doors at C and RT it was impossible to get the continuity necessary for a good screen play. GB was good at it and so I think Rivera will help allow us to do it.

Parcells is stubborn and he did get some screens to work back in 2003 so expect to see some this season.

Yep.

If Bledsoe can't get 200 yards against a team weak against the pass, we're in trouble...and I don't mean against the Chargers. I mean against everybody.

Parcells almost always takes what the defense gives him. I believe that if teams start blitzing and stacking the box against us, Parcells will throw the ball. Whether or not we execute is another story.
