...and found out that my brother-in-law has some good videos out on youtube. He is a magician and juggler. I am very proud of him and wanted to share these videos with you. I hope you enjoy them. This is my wife's older brother.

No, I won't tell you how any of the tricks are done. Yes, I do know. I've helped him build a couple of these illusions and have performed with him on several occasions.

He has a large stage show but I think the close up magic is the most fun. You will see a couple of the tricks more than once if you watch all three videos.

In one some of the videos you will see his birds. He has several. The white cockatoo is Merlin. Sadly Merlin is now gone. He was a very cool bird. The first time I spent the night at Craig's house I woke up with that bird in bed with my wife and I. Craig says he likes to be warm. The green bird is Princess. She does all kinds of tricks. She disappears into the bag and at the end of his show sometimes is with him when he appears after his last trick.

You will also see Jason Kidd and Vinny Del Negro in these videos at some points. He has performed all over the world and for many sports teams including halftime shows for the Phoenix Suns. He says his most awe inspiring chance to perform for someone famous was for Paul Harvey's 80th birthday. Robin Williams endorses him on his promotional video as the best live magician he has ever seen.

Enjoy.

These videos were added by his assistant, Myryka Nunya. She is the belly dancer. This is her video of them performing. You've seen people roll coins across their fingers. She cal roll a quarter across her belly flipping it end over end. Their Circus of Fire show that she shows here is really something to see.

Okay, I gotta tell you a story about the paper trick. In June we had their family reunion to celebrate their parents 60 years of marriage. Craig did a magic show for the whole family. During it he asked if anyone had a dollar bill. I held one up. So he told me to bring it up. I went up and he had me sign my name on the dollar bill. Then he took the pen and stabbed it right through the bill and held it up for everyone to see. Then he took the pen and shredded it through the bill out the other side. Folded it, unfoled it and it was back to normal.

Next he fold it in half and bit George Washington's face out of the bill. He was chewing it and he spit and it was back to normal again.

He handed it back to me and told me to rub the bill on my head like a balloon. He asked what happens to the balloon and I said static and he said, the same with the dollar bill and he crumpled it up in that little ball and it was stuck to his hand. He turned his hand all the way upside down and the bill was stuck there.

Then he took his left hand and put it on my shoulder and the bill floated up off his hand. He told me to rub my feet on the ground and the bill started to dance. The faster I rubbed my feet the faster it danced. Then he told me to put my hand on his shoulder and keep rubbing my feet and he did the hands all around the bill and he walked around behind me. Two feet away this bill is floating in mid air.

He came back and grabbed it and handed it to me and told me to crumple it as tight as I could. I did and he said, no really tight and he crumpled it more and put it back in my hand and told me to squeeze it really tight. Then he told me to blow on my hand and open it. The bill was gone.

Next he put a little table on the "stage" and 3 cans of corn on the table. He called one of my nieces, Natalie, up and told her to pick 2 cans of corn. She did and he took the 3rd one away. He then told me to pick one of the two cans of corn. He took the other one from Natalie and told her to hand the remaining one back to me. He placed a clear bowl on the little table and told me to open the can of corn and pour it out. There on top of the corn was my crumpled up bill with where I signed it clearly on it.

I went back to my seat to watch the rest of the show and as I was going back my nephew, Jason asked if it smelled like corn. It did. It was really in there. After the show several people wanted to smell the bill. My sister-in-law, Kathleen asked me how he got it in the corn. I said, "if you can tell me how it wasn't in my hand when I blew on it, I will tell you how he got it in the corn."

It's a dang cool trick.

When my wife and I first started dating we went to see him perform live. He brought me up out of the audience to do the unicycle thing with the knives. But he used a much taller unicycle and climbed up me to get on. He was all over me. He even sat on my head at one point.

There were 2 knives near my throat and one near my nuts and he said, "I would like to take this opportunity to talk to you about Amway." In the meantime he took my watch, my sunglasses, and my wallet. I had no idea he was doing it.

One of my favorite tricks he does you only see a part of it. He has 4 people from the audience pick cards and put them in the deck then he hands the deck to one of them and tells them to throw the cards in the air. He draws a sword and stabs the 4 cards in mid air.

Oh and for those who liked Myryka, she's single.

Can he make Romo hit a open receiver inside the 20 yard line? If so I will buy him the ticket to Dallas.

He gets asked all the time if he can make an ex-wife or husband disappear. Bet he's never been asked that one.

It's funny that he has not gotten a national show...Kind of like Blaine does every year or so.

I know when we were younger you had a few magicians out there that would have shows like that but now the only one I recall getting specials is Blaine.

However this guy has more variety and is not strictly magic so you would think someone would offer him a special on some national channel.

Hope it works out for him.

I'm going to send this to him. It will make his day. He does very well. Last December he made $25,000. Yes, that is one month. I believe he could do even better with the right exposure. He is considered the best magician in this state. Go to just about any magic shop in the state and they know him and recommend him.

Here's the skinny on how he got involved in this. He tried out for the basketball team in Junior High and did not make it. They said he wasn't coordinated enough. So his Dad suggested he learn to juggle. From there it just took off. He put himself through college at Arizona State by doing street shows on Mill Avenue. Last time I asked him, he can juggle 7 balls, 5 clubs, and of course he does the magic too.

He has performed in Europe, on cruise ships, and in just about every state. The funniest thing is if you go to one of his shows with his kids. The loudly explain how every trick is done.

:laugh2:

Kind of ruins it. He doesn't tell them how to do it any more. I expect his daughter Ivy to be part of the act one day. Great personality and is talented.

Yes tell him I said I wished him luck and maybe he kind find a manager/agent, if he does not already have one, that might be able to get him a special on some channel.

Does not have to be the main letter network channels, does not have to be the HBO type channels or even USA channels.

But I would think a smaller channel or upstart might want a special or two and he could cut his teeth and ad to his resume until he gets better offers.

I could see him doing something like this for CMT for example.

Again wish him luck from me, seems like a stand up guy.

He really is. In the Circus of Fire video where he is balancing on a ladder and there is another juggler on a tall unicycle. That is his ex-brother-in-law, Aaron. He taught Aaron juggling and magic and he is now a street performer working his way through college just like Craig did.

In the one video you see his "sound guy," Sean. Sean is a magician too and used to perform with Craig on Mill Ave. When Craig started making it bigger and bigger he hired Sean to not only run the sound show, but to perform with him or as an opening act. If he has shows already booked he will recommend Sean and even book the show himself.

Sean does a great trick in his street show where he has a woman tie 2 colored scarves together. Then he will place the knot gently in the neck of their shirt and hold the 2 ends. When he pulls the scarves out there is a sexy red bra tied in between the scarves. Of course the audience thinks it belongs to the girl.

You also see two different female assistants. One is Myryka his new assistant. She is the belly dancer. The other is his ex-wife. Because she helped him get his shows off the ground he gives her a percentage of every performance even though she doesn't perform with him anymore and even though she does all kinds of things to hurt him. Their 3 kids would stay with him forever over her. They love their Mom, but they do not trust her.

I've seen him turn down high paid bookings for the more elaborate shows because he has already booked a lesser paying show. He will never stab a customer in the back.

Most of his shows are Arizona only any more. He does that so he can keep his travel costs down and give the customers a better price for their shows. However, last year he flew all the way to Washington, DC to do a free show for my niece's school. They were raising money for breast cancer awareness and he did it free.

I don't know if anyone reading here would consider booking him or not, but here's his web page that tells you how to do it.
