I was just wondering if it's the older fans who see what I see in Dak

    What a terrible response. Embarrassing.

Drew Brees went 7-9 for 3 straight years with the Saints. Did that have you questioning his “leadership”? Or is football a TEAM sport?

What I see in Dak is his leadership. Romo had that, Aikman had that. Staubach had that. "Let's go boys. Here's where we get 'em." I think leadership is precisely what he has that makes him special. The team knows if he needs to run for a first down, he will. If he needs to pass, he will. Watching film of Romo, though, it's clear Tony had a FAR faster release and probably more zip on the ball. Dak still takes a bit of a windup. That's ok. It means your line has to be good. If he has time, he doesn't have trouble going through all the progressions, but I don't think he's a Brady who, the second he gets to the line knows who will get the ball.

    I admitted that!

Whoa easy there fella. Let's not start attacking people geeze~!
You read that wrong. "I am not sure about his ability to change plays." Two things
    1) It means I am not convinced he has really good command.
    2) With the knowledge that I don't always know if he changed it or not. I'm pretty sure it's not always obvious "KILL KILL KILL".

Text book hating? You haven't seen those boys go at Zeke have you?

I’m 62 and have been a Cowboys fan for 56 years. I have seen every Cowboys starting QB since Don Meredith. I believe Dak Prescott is a really good QB who is in my opinion, too often inaccurately criticized by some Cowboys fans. Dak is as good or better than dozens of NFL QBs who have led their teams to SB victories.

I can't say because I'm not in the locker room. We can only absorb the information we are given and there is a ton of information regarding how great his leadership skills are. I trust that information as compared to the conflicting opinions regarding things such as his talent on the field.

    Hmmm...well okay then.

I just got attacked for being a bit vague on changing plays. I will not do the same to you...I respect your view.

Ahhh ok well your right! He doesnt make the players around him better and other teams know if you take away Zeke that Dak will choke if you pressure him. I cant wait for Dak to face that 49ers defense this year. He will have more yards running for his life than throwing.

Aren’t you the same guy who suggested, with a straight face, that we solve the Dak contract dilemma by offering him $20M/year plus incentives?
    :lmao2:
Yeah, you just don’t know football. There’s your answer.

^this^ right here. Plus, he just got done barely missing the 5k yard mark passing for the 2019 season. Pretty damn special. PAY THE MAN.

What vague about it? Do you want me to link the articles for you or do you want to simply google "Dak Leadership" and read a few of them? The information is out there and it all says he's a great leader. If you have examples of where reports say the opposite, I'd be happy to review those.

With the front office and couching staff Dallas has had, Dak doesn’t have the strong will leadership this team needs.
Dak doesn’t have the “it” factor of a Irvin or Troy and going back years a Roger.

Folks aren't called a Dak hater because they are critical. They are labeled a hater by saying stupid stuff like he isn't accurate, or a terrible QB, or can't make throws, or can't beat winning teams, or doesn't deserve any credit but all the blame and the list goes on.

He isn't a perfect QB but he is really good and at the very least a top 10 QB. Being critical isn't the same as talking bs or throwing crap at the wall hoping it sticks

Zeke is a moron and plays one of the least important positions on the football field. Questioning giving a guy like that big money makes sense.

Questioning paying the most important player and position in football the market rate is worth questioning, but that's about it.

Guess at 68 almost 69 that I have seen as much as anyone on the board. Went to my first game and Eddie LeBaron and second game with Don Meredith, so yes been around for awhile. Is Dak as good as Staubach or Aikman or Romo or White? Is he like some of those others mentioned? Really depends on what you are looking at to decide. I see a guy that does command respect in the huddle much like Staubach and Meredith. I see his throws as good as any of them and better than many. Danny White was probably our best deep passer I saw with the Cowboys and I know that will bring a lot of criticism but it is what I saw. He (White) just never commanded the huddle.

Many will only rate a QB by how many Super Bowls or playoff wins he has been anyone who loves football knows that isn't what makes a great QB, great team sure, but not a great QB. Dak has the skills and the athleticism to be one of the greats and one trait is that he is always working to get better. You just do not see that a lot in some of the young QBs coming up nor some of those that have been around for a while. Everything is always subject to debate.

What I see with Dak, is the ability to be productive every year especially with McCarthy as coach so we don't suffer through the 1998 through 2010+ years again. The board is going to always be split on Dak as it always is with any Dallas QB and that's okay, everyone of us has a right to an opinion but all I care about is Dallas winning games and actually having a chance at the playoffs even going into the last regular season game. Sure I want more Super Bowls, tell what team's fan don't. Just like to keep it real. For my money Dak is the Cowboys QB for the next 10 years, I hope. Others will disagree and that's alright.

Thank you Dak for NOT showing up for the Eagles game. If there was ONE important game that you would be awol you picked the perfect one.

Honestly...………..Dak had been bailing out Garrett for 3 years.
