The reason Dallas tried to develop him is because he's a big target with good hands. He made the most of those attributes in this game, but it doesn't always work out that way because he generally isn't able to create much of a window for the quarterback to throw into, so the pass is going to be contested. He won most of those contests today.

On one hand he'd still be behind Terrance, Miles, Dez, Beasley and Harris here.......so I won't rue but I WILL say he's progressed. Maybe leaving this team was good for him. I was shocked to not only see him still in this league bu do what he did. ANd people will say he did it against our secondary but he caught some very tough passes against Brandon Carr. A guy who has went up against elite receivers in this league and has had success.......props to Andre Holmes. I wish him the best. I'm sure he has to make Jerry haters upset because it looks like maybe Jerry and co. were right on him.

I don't think he would have been as successful today if he was playing for Dallas, though, because Romo doesn't like to throw jump balls. A receiver like Holmes is better off with a quarterback who trusts him to outjump/outmuscle his guy in coverage. Romo has had his receivers lose too many of those battles in the past to trust his receivers to do that. He's gunshy that way ... and it's probably hurt him some as a quarterback even though it's made his interceptions fewer than they likely would be.
